ok maybe my wording was incorrect, but for the purpose of this thread where the chap has a popped circlip, fitting of a bolt in diff and reconditioning of his box would be around £350 if that is the route he wanted to take. Does that keep everyone happy? :D

yup, no wasn't the best welding tbf

mine popped on my mk1, replaced it twice, second time welding it. They lasted one drive each so would say just replace the box. Friend of mine has recently had his box rebuilt and a bolt in installed for around £300

what brake setup you going for?

I was advised to bleed the car with the engine running. Worked a treat. Handy to know if ever it happens to you :) mine ran dry as I was changing the rear beam also used an easy bleed kit plus used the foot pedal together

I followed a megane haynes manual for cars with abs. Brakes were spot on after getting all the air out of the abs pump :D

I just gave mine a quick clean and sprayed some matt black aerosol on them. Still look good after 6 months
