I would also take my 172 to EFI for mapping.
Having group N timing doesn’t really cost any more money. My understanding is you just need the group N timing tool when you change the cambelt.
I can see why, It's probably the ' best' car I've owned to date Dan.
Very simple to look after/ service, had ours for nearly 7 years and it's so cheap to run/ maintain and very reliable. it'll do 50+ mpg, and once moving is pretty quick (fairly certain the previous owner remapped it)

The static test at Goodwood is easy to pass (like
most uk circuits) I was also well under with my 172/ PMS exhaust system. However I got black flagged after one lap, after pinging all the sound metres around the track.
In terms of driving it's obviously the complete opposite of the 172...But both are great in their own way :)
TBH imo the EfficientDynamics stuff is silly on the ///M cars.
I think tidy ones with low miles FSH, in rare colours will continue to rise. I just wish I had bought a Mk2 V6 a few years ago when they were around the 13k mark.
