Home cctv and phone apps? recommendations please!

the phone notifications arent maybe as instant as you think. by the time the notification has come through, you have checked it and decided there is an issue, the person would have long gone. out buildings can easily be connect to an alarm which will instantly sound if triggered, its a far...

Home cctv and phone apps? recommendations please!

Just a general comment. A grainey image of someone with a hood up isn't going to help when you have been broken into. Personally before cctv I would buy an alarm and spend money on locks if they need updating. A house alarm which sends out notifications to various people is much more of a...

    Wifi/Internet problems

since changing the cable between the bt modem and the main deco to cat6, when i checked yesterday the second deco was reading 150mb. never seen the second deco reading so fast

    Wifi/Internet problems

fibre comes into the house, which goes into the little white BT modem. this then plugs into the main deco via cat6 cable, there is then a cat5e cable linking the main deco with a second deco in my workshop. operation mode - wi-fi router

its currently operating in wifi router mode. what are silly features? if i knew what i was doing i wouldnt be asking for help ;) no idea what backhauled means?

    Wifi/Internet problems

Ah I see, when I built my workshop I ran 4x cat5 cables to it from the house. Currently using one for Internet and one for cctv. Other two are spare. Mine are deco x20 My workshop is to far from the house to pick up the main deco, hence the cables and second deco in the workshop.

    Wifi/Internet problems

interesting the cable supplied by BT is cat5e, its printed on it. (between main deco and white BT fibre modem. am now thinking about getting a cat6 cable, see if it improves the speed. the cables arent expensive.
