they look good .. truth will tell. I just changed mine all round, wish i had known K-tec was doing these :dapprove:
The genuine group N mounts can be had here;
http://www.gg-motorsport.homepage.t-online.de/catalog/index.php?cPath=95_61_81
you pay about a 1000 quid for them though :dead...
.. i have changed the mounts all round and it still knocks under hard acceleration; common fault that you have to get used to :(
A thing that seems to cure it is to loosen up the two top enginemounts and pull the engine forward and retighten. this will get rid of the engine hitting the...
Nope do'nt think so.. 2cm each way, not inches.
The car drives fine though, no disturbing feel or enginemovement. I just had a look at the new K-tec ones , think i will give those a try next time round
^^ i'm just surprised about yours fiting "snug" in there. Mine was defo not.
I hope the boys at Renault gave me the right mounts !
When standing over the enginebay i can easily rock back and forth the engine about 4-5cm (2 each way)
Are there differences in any of the 172 +182 RS topmounts...
Henry this surprises me; When i got my new mounts (did them all round) the top left one you are talking about with mine did'nt fill out the sides , had some space.
Also my engine can be moved by hand easily, not much though..
Are there different mounts going around at the Renault dealer ??
i know a guy who does competion racing (also the former clio cup races) , and he was always so impressed how hard you can throw the 172 in+out the curves. There was almost no other car that compared .
one thing i noticed from the pics is that the wearing is prettymuch the same all round, i'm meaning to say that they are worn in a perfect circle ? That's strange , i would think the movement/wearing would cause a more "oval" type of mark..
i was going to give you an answer but i forgot the exact spec..:o
now the answer that most will give you will be ; "search" !! Easy one on the search function .
I believe it was 75w80 or was it 75w85? Castrol seems to be a favorite, ELF is OEM used.
When purchasing one you will see the one you get will be for a BMW.. Not ever one designed for a Renault. I s**t you not. Only compatibily is that the connection diameter is right.
sorry í do'nt want to put the thing down completely because young + angry will find the sound amazing ; which it...
^^ one more thing i forgot when slating the Aeroform ;
Just watch your MPG go down the drain ! Now that WILL be important on the daily driver ;)
Rhino; how has your car reacted fuelconsumption-wise ?
it's 250 pounds worth of nothingness.
All show + no go. I had one on and it lost power all over the place, mapped with group N. Maybe with a custom map to suit it will be better.
The sound was incredible !
why should'nt a remap affect it?
When for example having a remap done to suit the car which is modded to have a larger airintake+ larger decat exhaust ; it will (also when putting cat back on) have a higher co output than the listed factory/ or allowed listing ?
How strict are hollands...
Yep not an answer/post backed up by a bit of knowledge from first reading around a bit on the forum .
There has been a case when around 11 (13?!) bhp were gained with the matching !
^^ thanks ! ofcourse there is the different cable TB on the ph1 , forgot about that or rather i did'nt know the bolt spacing was different.
no sale for me then ..:(
^^ good idea, do it. (just the one big uprated one, leaving the smaller oem) You''d be the first one to do it and many might follow if your results are nice !? I will anyway.
^^LOL
Yeah i guess it would have meant flywheel power.. throw about a 13% equation (downwards) on there and you'll have the wheel hp to print on the tshirt :D
