I think its a stupid thing to do Renault spent Millions desingning suspension £50 worth or badly designed springs are IMo a waste.
You have to spedn a fair bit of money to get a setup with as many benefits and handling as Renault setup but people just won't pay it.
Yep there 2 realy H5 and H7 (IE top and bottom spec) cars which don't have fogs auto lights etc have bottom spec ones. You can replace a car which needs a low spec one with a high spec one.
Officialt yep 5mm at the front 7mm at the rear (Ithink its that way round and tolerances are +-5mm vs +-10mm on the full fats.
Uprated Hubs, alternator ad PAS pump and I'm stuck what else that have same shell same engine.
Yep but remember CUps got less drag via tensioners and air con pumps...
£150~£250
Since Renault dealers just charge for the rate they are allowed its just the hourly rate which makes the costs higher than some garages but least the mechanic will be trained in working on the car.
Diesels just need more and more fule until they start to smoke induction kits and exhast arn't needed till your running to much smoke them you might need a new filter but a bigger turbos a better idea for power.
Different the 172 and 182 rear axles but there the same realty jsut they were welded and a bit different but idential fitment and setup realy.
Matts got brand new ones with disks calipers etc for £330 +vat I think.
Best shop round the net but some branded ones.
Spend a forutne buy expensive brandes ie Bilstein (I don't like but there good) LEda (expensive) or H and R or Avo's
Fitemtn err depends say 2 hpour labour depends the rear axles can be a pain to sort with the torsion bar.
You need to check the hub bolts spacing but it probably will.
If its the different hub spacing you've got to either use some camber bolts, change the hubs or drill the holes to fit.
