i like my firewall to inform me of everything thats attempting to connect to the net. you would be suprised how much actually does. its nice to have full control over everything. especially if your using the odd app thats not legit and tries to phone home!

they mean it uses a lot of system resources, in turn slowing your pc down by the hour.

the wire just needs connecting up. some fool cut them when it had a respray!

non for free are better than windows one. unless you get a dodgy copy, then i would recommend adobe premier elements, much easier to use then premier unless your advanced!

cuppaT - Yes i tried to update it and it said there were no updates available, when i knew there were 2 newer ones available. did some digging about and because my phone is an O2 model, its product code wont allow it to be updated, as the new firmwares are generic and dont have any network...

you dont have 2 numbers under 1 persons name do you? if so this will be the problem im sure of it!

try removing the person, and get them to send you a txt. then from the text choose add to contacts. worth a try. iv not had any similar probs with mine

ensure RDC is enabled on the machines ensure the receiving machine has a password protected user account (so you can log into it) ensure router port forwarding is setup properly on both machines if they both have routers check windows SP2 firewall config, and allow RDC check 3rd party firewall...

Im fixing a DVR pc for my mates shop! the HDD is fooked by the looks, but im guessing this drive wont come out without a key? i can open the handle but there is no way of pulling it out....it has a small fan in there too, even with a key i cant see how it would pull out. its similar to this...
