.. that's ruled out then.. wish it could have been something simple as this. So the mounting procedure does not allow fitting the new cams the way the old ones come out. damn..
good luck ! Leave it to the pro's , they offered to sort it out so you'll be okay :)
think the main advantage will be for the skilled sport-track-rally driver who wants the revs to drop solid when changing gears ? A fast reacting engine to the foot/throttle ?
I remember driving a Vauxhall 1.8 last time, when pressing the clutch between changes the engine took forever to drop...
^^ not in any doubt of Ben's rep. Was a wild guess i made, do'nt know how the locking procedure works.
It just seems possible when reading this ;

i'm saying; what if yours was off timing for starters and then with refitting new cams no-one noticed this ?
When fitting your cams they will have assumed your setup was correct; used the locking tools and set up your new cams the same as your old ones ??
When reading the other thread it...
right ! always thought of the 45 (for example) being a wall height of 45 mm or something in the matter..
so it's 45% of the width, every day you learn something eh !?:)
Edde has, Ben p and others..
It's supposed to be the best.. i could'nt get it in Holland so i stuck with the ELF TRX 75w80, recommended oil by Reno and less than half the price of this Royal stuff.
go for it though
there has been said that there are bad castings, and yours (RS) are the better ones, that can make a 13bhp difference !! Extreme case this, manifold must have been very bad and was matched/worked on by Angelworks
your toe out is (i think anyway) way too much out.. try neutral once, or like me a tad bit in. Makes a very stable fast-straight line drive, less nervous/twitchy. And 2,5 negative camber ?! wow.. you are flying all over the place when one hand on the wheel, am i right ?
anyway i'm...
i just saw your link to K-tec there; i cannot think of anything why it would not fit the phase 1 box.. i've got this one and it's both 7cm diameter , TB and filterhousing.
so ... bump for the next one who could know ??
you have a new 197 do'nt you ..just noticed.. i do´nt know the strandard settings for this car. on the 172 cup neutral is always good, and for fine-adjustment people go in or out..
toe in /out must be properly done, it should be done by the specialists (tracking/allignement) unless you know...
when you have driven the car around for a while, get out and feel if your wheels are warm around the centre/hub. When i hear you saying that it feels a little heavier from standstill it makes me think your brakes are sticking. I had this once, could clearly feel the rims/wheels being warm and...
Anyone wanting uprated ones;
Genuine "group N" class mounts. cost about a 1000pounds all round

no more enginemovement :D , it will be just you shaking about
box looks a bit small to me. Might gain you some torque but i think you will loose at high rpm.
give it a try though, can't hurt !
i think it's nice to try different filter-setups because these are easy and relatively cheap to do
