Hey For future refrence if anyone else has this issue. I solved the issue by changing it from Mute 1 to Mute 2 on the wires. Problem solved!

Well, You could get yours re trimmed with new leather and grips? costs around £100, its what i plan on doing when i find myself a second hand wheel to use whilst mine is off getting trimmed.
