Really depends on your budget.
If you just want a cheap one thats decent I'd be looking at the budget 32" Samsung. Got mine about 4 years ago for the bedroom and its still spot on today.
Think this is the current model of mine, at less than half the price I paid too...
Seen them all as they were on, liked the presenter a lot too.
I think the food one was the best, the coffee shop bit was good, I still got a costa on the way to work the next day though lol. Red bull bit was good too.
The apple bit was a bit meh, seen it all before like most, similar suff on...
£900 according to Mac2Sell.
With the new one available for as little as £1200 with 3 years apple care if you know a student, plus from Monday a free i-Touch (hopefully) then that seems about right imo.

Cheap if your a student or know a student.
I think I'm going i5 :(
Its the quad core that matters most really imo
Just a thought, as the new imac has 2 thunderbolt ports, could I attach my TV to it by HDMI and then my MBP to the other one and run 3 displays from my MBP?
But not all i5s are quad core, my 2010 MBP wasn't and it made a bid difference jumping to i7 quad core from it.
Buy the basic 27" IMO, great spec for the money compared to last years prices.
Don't want to pay for an upgrade and hoping back2school starts again
tenner says they will do a disk option, or are you talking about subsidised/free upgrades only?
Re: iPad "Must Have" Apps
But it is free (unless you want fancy file syncing beyond pictures and text) and things would cost £50 for mac/ipad/iphone in total
Re: iPad "Must Have" Apps
Evernote is brilliant.
Syncs all your notes wirelessly through your evernote account so you can see them all on your iphone/mac/pc/ipad regardless of the device they were created on.
