Just picked her up yesterday, gave her a quick wash today and took some quick pics.
Car not polished or anything. Normally I spend longer but was working this morning and wanted to get out in the daylight, driving.
You'll have seen stacks of 172's like this but hey it's...
Just picked up my 172 today
So far its been on 35.5, 35.6 and 35.4
Hardly ever changes though. Is this right? I was expecting it to update quite regularly. Any way to reset it? Can't be bothered with manuals tonight - information overload!
Cheers.
Just in case anyone thinks I've said anything bad, I haven't.
My edited post was to correct a spelling mistake.
Martin's comment below post was relating to a deleted pic.
Picking mine up on Friday. I'll be 29.
Didn't start working until 23 (coz of uni) and paying off debts, insurance etc, meant cheaper cars, RT, VTS, now the 172.
I've loved Clios since 1994 driving my mam's old 1.2 RL.
Know what ye mean mate.
I've had a VTS for the last 2 years. Just traded it yesterday for a mk2 172. My VTS being top of the range I got, abs, cd and twin airbags. That's it.
The 172 I get leather, air con and climate, cruise, esp, abs, 6 airbags, 6 cd changer, xenons, loads of stuff...
Son of a b****!
Gutted for ye mate.
Just come on this thread to congratulate ye but so sorry to have to commiserate you instead.
Just bought a 53 reg 172 myself yesterday. Even at 29 with 6 yrs ncb it's costing me £750 a year.
Don't let it spoil yer dreams, you'll get there in the...
thanks again for your comments guys.
yeah the vts is a top car. does exactly what its meant to be, cheap, fast & fun.
let down by poor image unlike the 172.
I've had sleepness nights all this week. It's just been sitting there but I've been unable to go to the garage through work. Last night was a killer hanging on as I knew I couldn't go til this afternoon. Wasn't sure if it'd still be there.
As much as I love the VTS and will never let anyone...
Those who don't know me, I used to have an RT hence the name, traded it for a mint VTS (which I love) but finally took the plunge - what the hell we're only here once.
Spotted online a 53 plate silver mk 172 at Benfield Renault, Newcastle. Though in once sense I like 182's, I prefer the...
Cool so it's more likely to have 6 cd rather than cruise?
If I had to choose I'd rather that.
Wouldn't use cruise anyway.
Out of interest, what would I be looking for to check?
Is it on the stalk control or something?
Thanks guys.
Yeah it's more expensive than I'd like but time to haggle a bit I suspect.
And yeah, it's becuase the 172 is more discreet and I just the silver. 182 silver is dull.
I've just bought Evo with the 172 buying guide, gonna swot up.
Cheers.
Just looking at the washer ball thread...
I'm looking at buying a 53ish mk2 172 very soon.
Other than obvious faults or scratches/dents, what sort of stuff should I be checking, ie any common faults that I may overlook.
The car in question is a 53 plate mk2 172 29k miles going for £8995...
Well as far as I believe, late registered 172s had cruise and ESP.
It's just there's two 53 plate silver 172's I'm considering.
Neither ad mentions cruise or date of registration except 53 plate.
Cheers.
