    Trial fitted the brembos

I take it they are 16" wheels? Calipers look lovely and I like the colour combo. I also like the lime green hoses.

    Kit's Ph1 172

I changed regularly. Sometimes I had it on full soft, then 10, 7, 25, 30, etc. Just whatever I fancied on the day. The good thing is you can adjust them easily due to the access. All are at the top so just pull over and twist! I found that a really nice touch for the fronts and the rears...

    Suspension all OK?

After my comment on the b14's, it got me thinking. The BC's which I had before (which were awesome because of the way they raised/lowered with losing the rebound, adjusters on top, front and transfer damping, projected, etc) I was thinking of getting again. However they are £700ish. I keep...

I agree. Plus they'll be a readout on screen/paperwork to show the difference, and is set on dead level ramps. Does it really need adjusting "that" often to warrant a DIY alignment kit

Surely it would have to be on dead level ground?

I think I'm going to use this car a s a bit of inspiration for my next one! Without the dodgy driving antics that's happened recently! Looking at arctic 182's and then having PR1.2's and buckets.....

Yet another Clio. 55 RB 182.

Don't be a tightarse. Get the OMP GP for £75 and be done if you want a cheap wheel in similar size, only this WILL have quality!

Dan, I'm telling you that is identical to my old one barring the material! The price is even cheaper than my old oem too! DO NOT BUY IT! If you do, then me and you aren't friends anymore! I'll leave this here to convince you again not to buy it:

AVOID!!!! Looks identical to my old bendy one....

    Spacers worth it or not

Good to hear. 20mm fronts (20mm per side) and 10mm rear hub spacers (10mm each side, the ones that sit behind the rear hubs)

Dan, how long and how many do you need the studding? I've got some high tensile 10.9 grade m10x1.5 pitch studding at work which I could but down and send you? Comes in black too and is strong.

Too true! Didn't think it would be this quick though! Lol So stop updating this and it will hold off my need for a little bit longer..... Maybe!

    Spacers worth it or not

Haha. I think it comes down to experience. Like anything really. People have had no issues, others have. Ie: me and you ;)

Yes. The one I bought in October! Lol. Mark wants another Clio!

    Spacers worth it or not

I bet that more people have them and haven't had issues over those that have. I'd say go for it. I have and I never had a issue. I'd do it again too.

    Volvo S40

Ph1 suffer from rust a bit more than ph2, although money had zero rust which is rare! It's probably be a cheap 182 that I don't mind taking apart. Not a high mileage one though as I can't do it! Lol
  24. Jekyll

    Daniels Blue 182.

Yeah, or a coating. My BC's were coated and when dirty then just washed/cleaned up sweet due to everything being protected/powder coated. I know your rears are, so the fronts should have been too IMO.

That's the downfall with bilsteins, they're not protected as standard. That's what put me off buying them before.

Random questions, are shock absorbers handed?

Spring was definitely fine and not slightly cracked? Could have snapped once refitted and driven? Sounds far fetched a bit, but it could happen. May explain the dropness. Other than that I'm stumped. Once you taken it apart and fitted it all back up, keep us posted.

Random questions, are shock absorbers handed?

I'm just trying to think of what would make a grinding noise from shock replacement on these? It's only a few bolts/nuts too. Odd.
