Sorry to hear that mate, you were well chuffed with it too, make her paaaaay!
(Just had a good read of the post and see all the pics, thats absolutely horrendous. Hope you get it sorted soon mate)
TW*TS!!! Its not just the fact they take whats not theirs, its the damage they also do taking the stuff. Skip rats left both sides of my VTS scratched to f*** scraping the 16v badges off, they only cost £6 each at Citroen, and they get the sticky rubber inserts as well then.
SKIP RATS!!
At least this guy explains how it works. 74 rating, all positive too! Surely though, if it gives more petrol in mix it would cost you some mpg?
Theres serious money to be made in this trade. £5 a shot thereabouts, look how many hes sold recently!
I would never buy one. Though I shouldnt, I often email potential buyers of these the links to this sort of thread if I spot a bidder on one.
Incidentally, why would it damage your engine eventually?
common problem with saxos too, mine does it a lot. running optimax/S+ helps. people on saxo group reckon its lambda sensor thats normally the cause. never had mine done yet.
WTF? Any chance http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7901050350&category=23013these would work better than normal brakes? Surely the piece cut out in each bit would better be there and have more friction material in contact with the pad, like a normal disc? Just a gimmick?
I would have told him thats its no wonder nobody has any faith in the law.
While he was writing the ticket, Ill guarantee others went past you doing more than that.
Cheers for the advice guys. Been seriously thinking about it both ways all night but in the end Ive opted to stick with what Ive got for a bit longer. Ill get a good second hand one in a years time.
Paul, already been doing that for the last few years, running out of cards to apply for. I think Ill leave it til this time next year and buy a good second hand one. I said Id phone the salesman and let him know by tomorrow.
Aye thats what Im thinking. Its just so tempting, I never bought the Williams I always wanted and back in 94 I remember wishing I was of age to buy a brand new one. Im not gonna get another chance to buy a Cup new unless I go for it now.
Only went for a gander but ended up having a test drive and having the saleman turning the thumb screws on me, as he put it.
Pre-registered mondial blue Cup with 51miles on it, £10999. Impressive car but to be honest it didnt feel that quick. Granted, I wasnt used to it, the car was 3up and it...
Some one got charged over £100 at Renault here the other day. Kwik Fit will want about £40-50 I would have thought. P*** easy to do. Some one else will tell you how to do it as I could only tell you for a Saxo. Basically take the bolts out of the caliper piston, pull it off, replace pads and...
Depends on how you brake, whether youve taken a knock or you could have a stone lodged in the pads. Strip the brakes and look at all the parts and reassemble. Easy job.
Your April fool thread. I was trying to be facetious. Take the wheels off and spin the brake disc, it should be able to be turned smoothly with a small amount of resistance. Any irregular turning, like where its sticking at one point could indicate discs or pads problem.
Possibly the wheels...
Not all phase 1s have it on the boot. The one I nearly got didnt and it wasnt missing as the Clio was on the extreme right of the boot strip, with Renault at the extreme left.
