nice note to it but i dont like the look of it myself - dont like the fact you can see the backbox. IMO only the tailpipe itself should be in view so a recessed exhaust looks better.
i had mine remapped by K-Tec and the cruise works fine and there's no management light on either. The only thing that i haven't seen for a while is the green 'shift up' light but that might be down to where the raised rev limiter has been set to since having the map?
powerflow one looks smart and sits just right.
Yozza is hanging abit low but as said you could recess it into the bumper for a better looking fit.
Longlife is a bit big for my taste but it sits nice and design looks good too
no mate this one was standard and looked a nice, clean example. I think i know which one you're referring too though cos i have seen a similar car round Merthyr with a twin exhaust which hangs low.
not seen any white 197's round Merthyr before. there's a boy with an Albi one just down the road...
spotted on Saturday, parked up in a lay-by just before the bad S bend above the Storey Arms at about 12:15 pm
noone in the car (or near it) so must have gone for a trek
try phoning mate - it's much quicker. i take it you're too far away to actually drive there?
i had mine remapped there end of August and it's well worth it!!
i think that was the plate anyway?? non - cup packed RB182 heading down the A48 Western Avenue and turning into Tesco just off Excelsior Road.
Cheers for letting me cut in front of you right at the end of the slip road (bet you thought "what's this w.anker player at?") :clown:
i'd have done...
yesterday at about 4:40pm. blonde girl driving. got on the A470 from Caerphilly jct heading North towards Pontypridd
CP53NM* with recessed exhaust. you were right behind the Audi R8 that i minced passed!
fair play that does look very shoddy workmanship!! i'm glad i held back as i was going to get mine done at prospeed (very close to where i work).
having seen this i'll be off to K-Tec for sure
mine is exaclty teh same spec mate and i'm thinking of the same. i'm either gonna get em refurbed in anthracite (been quoted £240) for the full works i.e dipped, shot blasted, coated, lacquered, tyres off and on etc so just need to save now
Greenstuff pads are sh!te mate - i wouldn't bother to be honest. Redstuff would be a better choice but the rears dont do much of the braking so standard Renault pads will be fine
up until a few months ago it would have only cost a fiver as the plastic fitting was sold seperately but now you get a new plastic fitting and new leather gaitor all in one.
anyway, part no. is 8200071449 and price is £36.18 (inc VAT) robbing b@stards! lol
i replaced mine last month. cost about £30-£35 from Renault.
cut the old one off with a scissors (held in place by zip tie) and the new one comes ready to fit and you just pull the zip -tie, cut off the excess and then click into centre console.
5 mins tops
as said above just go for a panel filter (K-Tec one for about £35) unless you want to shell out £175 for a BMC CDA. it's mostly for noise really although if you pull out the acoustic vale from the OEM Airbox you'll get a little better noise and it wont cost a penny
which ever insurance company you try, be sure to have some KY to hand cos you're def gonna have you kegs pulled down and be royaly shafted up the wrong 'un!!
i think i must be in the minority then as i think the stickers look sh!t (especially the bonnet one). just my opinion obviously.
i do like the wheels though
believe it or not it was warmer in the water than it was out of it. the lake is fed from a reservoir through pipes which pass near the steelworks furnace so the water being pumped into it is immensely hot so it warms the lake up nicely.
Dan said that for a few days in May / June it was so hot...
fair do's it was an awesome day out on the water..........right up until Chris nearly killed us both! :rasp:
only joking but we did come very close to the wall when we came off - got the cuts to prove it!! lol i'll def be back for the next one!
also, as it was my first CS meet, i'm glad to...
but that's all they'll do for you in the workshop so why waste your own time??
if you're adamant about going just ring and ask. see what they say. you may find that the previous owner has already taken it in - they should be able to check using the reg number
