hate mud flaps with a passion. theres a white micra going round with these like flexible red ones that swing back as he accelerates, looks ridiculous. useful i suppose i the winter but wouldnt have them on in summer.
Sad story, sorry to hear about this tragic accident. Unlucky for the old guy, glad youre ok. Puts everything else into perspective, only takes a split second for a mistake that wrecks lives.
do as Jay says, with the calipers too, put grease on the bits of the calipers that the edge of the pads touch, stopped my squeaky brakes. Dont go overboard with it though, you dont want it getting on the pads or discs.
chris, 27, gold (rare 130bhp) vts, only done 115 in it, no real point of any more, should be good for 130, was still pulling hard for a 1.6

no offence but i doubt any of those 1.2s were a true 115...
thanks for all the replies guys.
as for the leather gear stick - forget it! shes actually in need of geting rid of the leather steering wheel while still retaining airbag - shes a strict veggie!
shouldnt matter how much engine is in the way. the cable feeds through a housing that you slide in from the pedal end and it automatically pops out at the clutch end.
does that every morning in my saxo. car parked outside on drive, hand brake on not too tight but enough to prevent car rolling back. old rt did the same, just slight rust building up through over night damp. rust develops really quick on brakes, ever noticed it when you wash your car?
My sister has just bought a 1.2 16v 03 Dynamique in black. She doesnt get it until April (dont ask) and hasnt driven it yet (again, dont ask) but shes signed for it and is happy.
Some things shes not sure of (nor am I), do they have factory fit alarm or just immobiliser? Does it come with...
got a clutch cable supplied and fitted on my RT for £40, wouldnt have thought a williams would be much more. think its the magic williams word effect. doubles the price instantly.
dont think itd affect an mot having different size tyres. my mams has 155/65/13s and 165/55/13s on here fiesta! guy over the road has four different tyres and both passed mot. i think they just look at the tread depth, possibly pressure too.
the 40 is the tyre profile (height) surely so wouldnt make a difference. the 205 is the width of the tyre. If anything id have thought it may cause slight understeer but wouldnt affect ride height
do you need to take the lid off the brake fluid tank to allow the fluid to move up properly? its just I once did my discs on my old RT and they were sticking really bad, even though i pushed the piston in. had to embarrassingly take it into a garage to put right!
Do you need to bleed the brake pipes or whatever? Surely putting new pads in will mean when youre not pressing the brake pedal, theyll stick and get hot?!
I got £700 for a similar K reg RT (though at trade in) FSH with 108k miles, 3 weeks tax and mot.
Probably get £1000-1500 dependant on service history and miles.
