Right, I need to order myself a DA and stop pissing about. The BM is in dire need of a detail, and the golf could do with a once over. I know nothing about them, or what the different pads do etc. I think I'm going to order a starter kit, like this...
You sound like that guy who left a massive list of "do nots" when buying a car. I'm sure one of them was not to even put the floor mats in as he wanted to do it. Weird

Draper one here lifts to nigh on 50cm and is £35 cheaper than the Halfords
Soooo still haven't bought a jack, but ideally could do with one, a low entry one. I nearly bought one in Halfords this week, but because they didn't sell the swan neck 21mm spanner I needed, I totally forgot and wandered out. Bellend.
Is this Clarke one any better...
I mean, its another string to your bow if you have legal expenses insurance on your policy and you use their solicitors to help you with the claim for vehicle damage.
He's not claiming off his own policy though, so agreed value wouldn't help here.
Also, as a claimant direct, insurers are likely to low ball as you aren't going to issue proceedings against them (or highly unlikely anyways).
As said, get all the evidence you can together to show the true value...
