.NET is w**k though. It's a massive step backwards from native code! How slowly can you say slow?
While the interface has improved in VS2005/.NET2003/.NET2001 over VS6, they took a lot of functionality out from VS6, like multiple post build custom steps, the fuzzy class search wizard thingy...

(btw, the proper VB is regarded as a million times better than the .NET version. In which case Visual Studio 6 is what you'll be wanting!)
Without stating the obvious, 2005 is newer. Generally speaking, the newer, the better and easier it is to use. (Although in the move from VC6 to VS.NET they lost the "quick find fuzzy symbol thing" which I can't live without. I eventually managed to find a replacement in Visual Assist which...

Unison is one I tried, I can't remember what it was like now - everything I tried was nowhere near as good as newsleecher. But I wasn't really bothered because I used easynews which is far better than any nttp client!

Orange won't because there is no V4 orange firmware to flash on. Nokia might, reports vary as to whether they'll do it and whether they'll charge you for the privilege of putting the generic firmware on.

Orange have withdrawn the N80, so the only way of getting updates is to get generic firmware onto it "the other way". (or try a service center and see if they'll do it for you, results seem to vary with this...)
My memory card problems disappeared after updating the firmware. My n80 is a orange supplied one, so I went the dodgy route and flashed it to generic firmware myself. I'm guessing that the nokia updater only works for generic n80's and not network ones as they don't seem to have approved that...
