Yes, why? Why not actually say whats on your mind, rather that p**s about?!
Edit:
When I say best traffic shapers, I mean they went out and spent hundreds of thousands on the best traffic shapers that money could buy, rather than invest in more central capacity - which was DAFT. Their...
lol. He wants to get away from traffic shaping! Plusnet have the best traffic shapers in the business, they bought those instead of investing in their network.
Use over 20GB peak time/mo and your traffic will be shaped to hell.
I should probably point out that it's pretty hard to figure out from that website whether or not the driver has been built as a universal binary, there's a bit of text on the last update which implies that is has, but it just be for that SQ905 based cameras, it's not entirely clear!!!
These MSN clients should work with a webcam: (i've dug out the links for you)
http://www.mercury.to/
http://amsn.sourceforge.net/
And with regards to other webcams, the iSight will just work straight out of the box, and other third party webcams are supported via this driver...
Nope, microsoft in their infinite wisdom have a completely different development team for the mac messenger than to the PC messenger, as a result the mac version is severely crippled and limited and doesn't support webcam.
I used Adium as my MSN client, but as of yet it doesn't support webcam...
I set up a core duo mac mini to a plasma as a media center (ok, I plugged it into the TV and it just worked dvi->hdmi ;) ) the other day. Very impressed :)
It played HD divx movies without batting an eyelid. Didn't have any problems with it whatsoever, and I was playing with it for 3 or 4...
lol. yeah I like the:
"When I consider that a good deal of my time is spent running applications like Disk Defragmenter, Scandisk, Norton AV, Windows Update and Ad-Aware--none of which are available for the Mac platform--it doesn't make sense for me to "switch" to a Mac at this time"
hehe ;)
Yeah, and they're usually referring to an OS prior to OS X!
I couldn't live with linux, the interface on OS X is so much better more consistant than anything I've used on linux.
F**king now & next is still crap though, I still don't understand why you can scroll through all the programmes on a channel, but you can't press info when you come across something you want more information about, it shows you the information about the programme that's currently on!
It doesn't run windows! :)
Seriously, Mac OS X is way better than anything Microsoft have ever produced! Lots of the features that MS are touting in Vista (Including ones which they've now backtracked and said won't be in the shipping version now) have been in OS X for well over a year.
I...
lol. he tries arabic first, then french.
He asks you if you speak french, asks/tells if your name is french.
Then asks if your a man or woman, baby ;)
Adrian
Nah, compile your compiler, kernel, c library, busybox, bootloader and do it the hard way.
Did this once for a minimal boot from flash, nearly freaking killed me!
Holy f**king sh*t man, I was there saturday night! Infact, keep stabbing myself with the little yellow badge I can't be arsed to take out of my pocket!
Cool.
Re: f**ked off with my iMac already...
Can't really comment on Xserves, not been near any of those!
Not had a problem with any of my G4's, neither have friends with mac's either.
Posix is too tomy for you :o ;) (I know what you're referring too though, but XP's still as much "Windows...
Re: f**ked off with my iMac already...
I didn't mention anything about the stabilty of windows! :S
Only that I'd never seen OS X panic under normal circumstances, most mac haters seem to bring up OS crashes as part of their "vendetta", things have moved on since pre OS X.... That was what I...
Have you got an (old?) spare machine at home? Just set your router up for some port forwarding to it & stick a minimal linux distro on it....
I'd rather do it that way and have complete control over access & the amount of storage I can have!
