FRSU, an induction kit and some good tyres are all they need IMO, although I'm interested to hear your views on the JDM ARB. There's just so many modifications available for the Civic, it's overwhelming!
I've heard they're good too.
The common choices seem to be the AEM, Tegiwa, Gruppe M and the K&N Typhoon.
IMO you can't really go wrong, I didn't want to hack away at my car so chose the simplest option. Not really fussed about heatsoak, they get good reviews so they can't be that bad.
My AEM v2 has been fine, as has my friends cars all fitted with the same one. The Gruppe M/Tegiwa is slightly noisier due to it's positioning, but the AEM is also rather loud on cam.
Nice buy dude, looks really clean too! I'm trying to keep mine, especially after getting it all spotless last week and spending the weekend in it. It's hard selling something you don't want to sell, especially to messers who come round and kick the tyres for four hours lol.
Would be boring if we all liked the same thing etc etc...
I'd probably buy something I remember from my childhood, like a Bandit Trans-Am or a General Lee replica. Am I a redneck? I sure am!
I'm open to other peoples opinions (unlike some), I was simply curious as to why the car caused such a stir. Maybe I'm not a particularly hardcore car enthusiast, in fact I don't think I'd buy a supercar even with a lottery win.
In reality not many drivers would benefit from all the work that has gone into building that Porsche, which is kinda why I question the usual CS'ers for the predictable bumming of it.
Everyone has their own idea of what makes an automobile awesome. As I said in my previous post I appreciate it and understand it, but it's just not something I can relate to. I'd rather have 20 trackdays in a 106 Gti than own a Porsche that I never got chance to drive fast. I'd love to drive one...
Whilst I appreciate the soul and passion behind building a car like that, I'll admit that it's way over my head. I just found it a little bit tedious (no offence!).
