Running a Compaq Presario R3000 (HP PP2210) here, Couple of years old but still runs strong, as most Compaq's / HP's do, only upgrades I've done to is RAM/HD, runs everything I need it for. Would recommend HP Compaq all day if you have the money to throw.

If it's under heavy acceleration and it sounds like a slight whistling, it'll be the engine sucking the air in through the air filter.

I think they are, it's just the bumper and front wheel arches/liners that are different iirc

Is there any resistance on the bonnet catch in the car? If not, sounds like the cable that opens the bonnet might've snapped. Not sure how to get under the bonnet though without the release.. Makes it more difficult as you own a 2.0 litre version so getting underneath and reaching in from the...

Doesn't make any difference at all in a 1.2, in fact.. I found when I put a full tank of V Power in mine it actually made it less economical to run. Less milage to a full tank .. Work that one out?! :S

They're on plastic clips. If you wedge your fingernail (or small bladed screwdriver etc.) on the end corner on the top of the arm nearest the window and pull it apart, it should unclip and pop off the frame ;) As said, yellow callipers seem weird on a deep blue car, but it's yours at the...
