if the engine ever went in mine i'd be looking at shoehorning in a larger one, battery in the boot and maybe a 2ltr bmw or honda eninge..... not sure what'll fit but it's a while off being needed.
cat lasted 17k, centre section and back box 21k. both recently replaced under warranty and are currently dry stored to go back on the car when i get bored with the custom made prospeed.... which will be never then lol.
if anything major goes when mine's up i'm going to be upgrading it anyway.... better clutch, 'box, hubs, 197 engine? looking forward to playing with it a bit more in 12 months :)
i've got brembo max and pagid blues and got to say they are better than the mintex 1144's i ran before. not noticed any increased dust and don't get any squeel - i think it's how they're fitted.
max are just high carb but with grooves, they aid wet braking and are meant to aid cooling but only...
That's a fair comment, using the lower grip levels to slow you down but i'd still prefer to be hanging the back out - i think i'm just used to it from driving many 000's of miles in rwd cars.
was until the brakes went... i'll take a pic of the pads that have come off it, unless i do nobody will believe that i hit a 3rd gear corner after a 90mph straight with no brakes! that's why i ended the last session early lol.
i'm sorry but i'm going to disagree with a few people. Having better grip on the back is only better if you don't have high car control.
A front wheel drive car has steering, braking and acceleration all through the front wheels - with lower grip on the front compared to the rears it's a hell...
This has highlighted a point I always try to make, if you haven't been on track before, before spending your money going on track, get some track tuition.
1. It'll improve your driving no end
2. You'll enjoy the track time more
3. You'll be faster
4. You'll be a lot more confident
5. You'll be...
i'd only stick extreme's on the rear. 1144's are mintex's best pads but they're not as good as pagid blues, blacks or yellows. (RS4-2's, RS14's or RS19's)
Stay clear of OMP, they are a budget brand, as you can tell by the price - you get what you pay for.
the organisation wasn't the best. The green track was tricky on semi slicks but the thing that annoyed me the most was being limited to silly speeds on track, being limited to 50 on a main straight is pointless - you could have driven off track and gone quicker on the derestricted b road.
It...
just found it, i'd say the subframe has been affected - the indicator light has popped out, meaning the panels has been pushed back and out. Maybe worth a bid of £3k as the shocks are worth half of that figure alone.
lol, selling one is as pointless as knicking one to use on your car.... the key itself will be different and the programming chip will be different.
As you can't re-programme then and even if you could, it wouldn't turn in your ignition, the £100 option from Reno is the only option.
Battery...
