    Clio Turbos (the 172/182 kind)

Not a bad idea on the APR big end fasteners but they're actually under less strain in a forced induction application. NA the rods are always wanting to leave via the top, forced induction they want to go out the bottom :)

Ah I didn’t know that. 👍🏼 Shows you how long it’s been since I’ve used anything else. 😅

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Yeah I know it’s a transfer that you can actually polish off quite easily. I know this because I did it on my Imprezas speedlines as I wanted a different colour. These will be painted under the clearcoat so non chance of that at least. Be cool if I could return the whole set to Speedline to...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Good mate of mine Boyd @ BR Car detailing in Colchester put me on to Kyle @ Rim Renov8 also in Colchester. He does all the wheels for Eurospares in Halstead (Ferrari/Lamborghini/Maserati) specialists and comes highly reccomneded. Fingers crossed. Ive got high hopes those as he was talking in far...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Within reason i dont mind what i spend but i want a proper job. I dont do poor work and dont expect to receive it. I've asked the lastest guys to see if they can even stencil in the "Speedline Corse" logo for me so i dont have to use decals.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Thanks to everyones comments on this. I have taken onboard the feedback which largely mirrors my own. I have taken the speedlines to a different (unfortunately far more expensive) refurb shop here in Essex this morning to be completely stripped and refinished. These guys came highly...

    Clio Turbos (the 172/182 kind)

I was also tempted by this and wrote up my findings on my own thread about a pair of 182/172 turbso that i drove. Whilst i apprecaite many have a differing of opinion, these were my personal findings. I have copied/pasted the extract below. If this is something you're interested in, speak to...

3K Clio Queries, 3 Different Models

On the rear arches it’s stone impacts thrown by the front tyre at the leading ashes of the arch. Then at the tops where it meets the rear bumper from grit abrasion.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

I think they make a nice contrast of the 2118/R888 for summer use and PS3/2120 for winter use.

Looked at those too. Don’t think I like them enough to want to spend the money on them. I’d like to see some in the metal really.

Yay, looking forward to this one. Even though i never got on with a turbo'd 182, its still cool to see another infernal being jolly'd up :)

    One hell of a spoiler

That was Karls old 172. I nearly bought that when he sold it early 2019. It was perfect back then without all that tat hanging off it. Hes better off breaking it if he hopes to achieve his asking price.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Ha, you boys know me too well, ive got the Compomotoive page open on my PC now and im on TH2s as theyre one of my all time favourite wheel designs. Again though, theyre outrageously heavy and ive already got one set of anvils in the 2118s. I cant have 2 sets :D

3K Clio Queries, 3 Different Models

I think alot of grit gets caought between teh steel panels and the bodykits on teh RS models. This grit abrades paintwork and rot sets in.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Bit of a mix between Superleggeras and Turinis. NIce. I think if i was going for that split 12 spoke design id go Superleggera. Ive even looked out for some forged options but there isnt a great deal availble and so many of them just dont look very nice.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

And there lies the problem, the Turinis/2118s are tried, tested and timeless. Then i find myself looking at some OZ Allegritas or some Enkei RPF1s. Very light and very cool but would anything look as sweet on a mk2 Clio as a set of Turinis does? Was certainly an eye opener going back to road...

Help - Speedline Turini centre cap question

Guys, Can anyone clear this up for me. Im looking at buying a brand new set of Speedline Turinis bu these are NLA from Renault. However they are available off the peg from PMS and the likes. I have heard the Renault diamond Turini centre caps wont fit in the non Renault Speedlines, Is this...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Had these freshly refurbished and im not 100% happy with the job. I dont trust the company to get them right so im tempted to sell for something else. Or do i buy a new set of Turinis, however they would be non Renault specific versions. I've heard the Renault centre caps wont fit, does anyone...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Tried on her freshly refurbished winter wheels today. 16” Speedline Turinis, a classic look for the little Mk2 Clio but is it time for a change? What do you think?

Hot rear wheel after disc and pad change?

So are you tightening them so tight they’re protruding and fouling the rear of the disc assy and causing it to bind?
