    Low beam is extremely bright

I’m fairly convinced most people who fit these bulbs fit them incorrectly which throws the beam pattern off.

Assuming you have a Cup in that case. Make sure the bulbs are in the holders the correct way for starters before you start changing level height.

    Sash’s new Learner car.

Oh bother. Pre mot inspection revealed a bit of a blow… I can’t complain about it though can I, show me another original exhaust on similar age/mileage.

    Sash’s new Learner car.

Another milestone. Since the 5’s been here the Clio has had a fair amount of time out but alas yesterday she tipped over 220k. The lack of use has meant the nsf brake pad is sticking in the caliper so getting a touch hot so I’m hoping to sort that this week. Anyhoo, she still looks good from...

    Small scale website cost

Thanks all, have given me some ideas to discuss with my committee members and make a decision about how to proceed 😎

    Small scale website cost

Primarily it’s going to be an online list of local driving instructors. Will need to have an application form on one page. Mobile friendly for sure as most people are using mobile devices now aren’t they? We have a logo already, it doesn’t have to be flashy but needs to be edited frequently by...

    Small scale website cost

Looking at building a small 4/5 page website but I’ve no idea where to start! What sort of costs to design and build might I be facing? Ongoing costs? Help please!

New member - with a question or two

I’ve only ever run Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and the last 2 years PS5’s. I’m running Cooksport springs and it feels planted. Inspires confidence.

Walked in the door at 02:15 😴 3 charge stops, 3 failed coffee stops (starbs was closed each time! 🙈) finally got one from a machine though 🙌🏼 Don’t think I’ll be bringing the 5 next time though.. 🤣 Saw one of your lot @CliosandCoffeeCal on the side of the M56 I think it was… did they make it...

    Check Auto gearbox on dash

Unfortunately the fault codes are very misleading. Not always what they say they are.

    Check Auto gearbox on dash

Change the battery if it’s not recently been done. If the battery is not that old then I’m afraid it’ll likely be the transmission control module (TCM).

    New, Fully Electric Renault 5

Just casually charging up in Waterford and this American guy comes up to me and proclaimed to be obsessed with the 5’s and was desperate to see one while he was in Ireland. He asked if he could take a picture so I obliged. As he wandered off I noticed another one parked further down the street 🤣

You shouldn’t need a code because the battery was disconnected but if you download the ‘my renault’ app and put in your vin/reg it’ll show you the code..!

Swapped out the old seized up, burnt out wiper motor and linkage with a new one. One thing ticked off the list!

That’s more involved, whipping the plugs out doesn’t render the car immobile for long.

That is also a possibility 🤔 I’m not ruling anything out right this moment. It’s never had any issues with the engine so it’s anyone’s guess!

The oil stabiliser thickens it up a fair bit. It’s always done it (it was mapped before I bought it). It’s been mapped for over 200k now.

    Bore scope wanted

Delicately put… 🤣 There’s no ill feelings from my end… @NorthloopCup it did get to burning through 1ltr in just over 1k. Using genuine elf/castrol. I started using Lucas oil stabiliser which extended it to 1ltr every 5k but over the last couple years it got less and less again. Changed the...

    Bore scope wanted

Not poorly poorly but tired. Using oil so I suspect possibly rings are a bit sh!tty. 220k and time for some TLC. Am weighing up the options of a strip and rebuild (but struggling to find someone i want to do it) or fling a low mileage second hand engine in 🤷🏼‍♀️ I want to get the map removed...
