Correct. Those PSUs have the fancy connection out and supplied with the correct cable. The issue is; these new PSUs haven't been released yet (En masse) so people are having to resort to these adapters. Corsair are coming out with a nicely designed cable, as are Cablemod, that will adapt...

Tbf, you can usually get away with being a total ba$tard to the internal cabling of a PC. These adapters are apprently of guff quality and Nvidia should be held accountable for not guaranteeing their integrity. See here...

Apparently AMD have said their next cards will come equipped with DP 2.0.

I can run at the 120 cap of my TV/monitor at 4k currently on Warzone (With everything maxed but with DLSS on quality). How much "harder" will Warzone 2 push it?

4090 is really only for those playing high refresh @ 4k. Limiting factor being they only went with display port 1.4 instead of display port 2.0 (As mentioned in that LTT video above). This will not fit in my case so hope the proper 4080 or AMD's efforts are worthy.
