Drives nice mate. Very Jekyll and Hyde. Comfy cruiser one minute, and then mental the next. Can see me getting into trouble in it though. The noise is a bit addictive
This one's already got a parrot kit installed which lets me stream Spotify straight to if etc so I might not bother with swapping the head unit. Retains a touch or originality then I spose.
What's the throttle map software you mentioned?
It's already got the CSL software mate.
I'm going to look into the coding s**t. My old man and my brother have BMW's so we might share the cost of the stuff to do it
It takes some getting used to. I still keep rolling back on hills as it doesn't creep like an auto, and I keep forgetting to hold the left paddle to stop it rolling back
For the type of driving I'll use it for, and how often it'll be used then SMG is perfect. If it was a daily then it'd have to be manual. Just for the smoother operation of the manual
As for running costs, there's a three invoices from 2015. One is supply only of a SMG pump from a main dealer...
So I recently sold my Clio, then the Megane as I said I was going sensible for a few months and ploughing some money into the house. That lasted three weeks. I drove my mates last weekend and decided I needed to buy one while I can. I almost bought his, but a few things put me off so I searched...
I'd much rather a standard power one, that looked standard, over a 400bhp one that looked like that.
Regardless of how fast it is.
Must be some money in that though
It's got a powerflex top mount mate so think we can rule that out.
I say it's lumpy on idle, but it could be how it's always been to be fair. There's no noises on idle or when cruising. It's literally as soon as you put your foot down and boost builds, you get a horrible rumble/vibration
Asking this for my mate who bought my megane off me....
He's had it for a month or so issue free, however it's developed a strange vibration on acceleration. I drove it on Sunday and it's perfectly fine until it comes on boost. At which point it vibrates/wobbles really badly. It's quite violent...
I think it's the torque that kills the rods on the megane.
Chris will probably know but get ask him to wind it back as to keep the torque below 280ftlb and it should be pretty safe then
