Evening chaps
Going to be rebuilding the engine in my cup during a week in May as it's using oil. Picked up a block today from @Mini182 which is going to be the base for it.
I've never built an engine before I'm confident I can do it no problems, just need the right guidance and hoping you can...
Ahh, I was thinking of a piece of threaded rod so I'll throw that out the window! Will maybe have to chuck the garage a tenner to use their press.
I'm saving myself over £30 doing this!
Evening chaps. I'm going for a suspension refresh on the 182 so it's not a pile of sloppy dump to drive. I've done all the other bits before but never the wishbone bushes.
I'd like to do it all at home if poss unless I definitely need a press. What's the deal with getting the old ones out and...
Could get a good 182 for £1500 if you're savy with what you buy and jump on a bargain. Worst 182 I've ever owned was on 80k, had dephaser rattle, terrible body work and smelt like balls. Best one I've owned had done the same mileage but had been seriously cared for by the previous owner and...
Although I've been following this for quite a long time I've just been a silent observer.
Really have done a cracking job on the car, one of only a few people who haven't done a drive in drive out boost build which is great to see. Much inspiration to progress to boost but hopefully without the...
Have you done him for attempted murder yet? Thought I saw this on FBI files earlier.
Surely this is criminal damage or vandalism?
I suggest driving past with a medieval catapult on a trailer and launching rocks back.
The farm clio is now forsale! £250 takes it.
Think it's on about 160k now, doesn't use any oil, turbo is still great. Has signs of early fuel pump failure. Sunroof leaks unfortunately. Interior still in great condition now! MOT until may, can't think of a reason why it wouldn't pass. Had new...
When I first started working in total loss I wrote off every single one of these bonnet catches I ever saw if it'd hit the roof. After time they showed up less and less frequently.
It's the best way of checking tracking! You just measure how far the front and back of the wheel are from the line to see what toe it's got.
The next car is up for discussion here, likely a BMW of some form though I think. http://www.cliosport.net/threads/upgrade-time-soon-%C2%A310k-budget.790761/
Just a small update on the car. Not much point in putting up a project thread as the car is just a stop gap. I've been through the SH now and it had the same owner from new until about 130k with what appears to be a no expense spared approach which is great. Even brake and coolant fluid changes...
@Dr Jekyll Me too matey but on the budget these were irresistible ;) get some discount when I order my roof scoop too :D
Can't say I attached pipes or deflector plates to the back though as on the first outing the brakes came in almost on fire ha.
Yes washer is required. Fairly certain it goes on the bottom though. It's a rather thick one. If I remember I'll measure up the mount I have in the garage tomorrow. Remind me.
I'm going to chime in here with a slightly different question so I hope the OP doesn't mine. Rough cost of getting a SD 6 pointer fitted? I can do all the prep work, just not the welding.
