merry christmas everyone! as of 2am this morning i have snapped my k-tec carbon splitter into 2 peices and cracked my front bumper :( i had a rabbit run in front of me on my home from picking the girlfriend up from work. it was only a small thing and i wasn't going at any great speed but it...
earlier on today (i suppose it's yesterday now, haha) i treated my 182 to a new battery, the old one seamed to be getting abit rubbish at cranking the engine over when it was cold. the battery was more expensive than how much i have spent on all the presents i have given put together :(
oh and...
cleaned the car today and decided to get some pics:
i've stopped the exhaust blowing now and it sounds great does! i have fitted the cup spoiler now too.
i'm also unsure on whether or not too get carbon front and rear renault badges, what do you guys think?
thanks
hi, my clio cup spoiler arrived today, i got it off ebay and when i opened it i saw the paintwork had so many scratches in it. i have done about 15-20 polishes with autoglym super resin polish and it's looking good now (i don't have any other cutting polishes) i might fit it tomorrow, i will try...
hi all, my internet over the past few days has gone down to around 15kb/s and is so slow. my broadband supplier is sky but i'm now changing it too EE broadband. is it more than likely that sky has bumped it right down during the switch over? it's getting really annoying as it's taking an age to...
thanks, i need to spend a day or two sometime soon and give it a good detailing and a proper waxing, but saying that i may wait until after winter. i need more pics of what it looks like now! i don't think i even have a pic of the back end with the new exhaust fitted
it definatly runs better...
driving from cold now is much better! however a fault code (no warning light on though) has now come up for my rear lambda sensor so i will sort the cat joint blowing and do some diagnosis before i go diving in and replacing the lambda sensor.
i have just had abit of a drive out to collect and...
sooooooo, today i RStuned her up, it runs abit smoother now but i am yet to try it from cold. i didn't really notice any power increase but i wasn't really driving fast when i drove it.
i also sorted out the rear seat fold down buttom/seatbelt guide and cleaned my front seat belts and they are...
here's some pics, i never got to clean it before night came sadly.
here's aload of pics from previous work i have done on the car
the gasket on the water pump was stuck to the block like sh*t to a blanket.
a random pic i took when i was fitting the cooksport...
i managed to sort the washers out, headlight aim and fit the carbon splitter today, i will add some pics tomorrow and possibly some pics from when i did the cambelt too
thanks
i'll see what i can do ;) i was wanting to get everything fitted then spend a day detailing it before i took loads of pics, but if i can tomorrow i will get a few decent mobile pics
thanks
thanks!
i've got alot more done to the car then i thought i would have done so far. when i originally bought it i told myself i was going to keep it standard and look where that got me, haha.
right, i haven't updated this in a little while so here goes. i have fitted my k-tec exhaust and induction kit now and it sounds great! it's blowing at the cat olive joint though so i will be removing the cat at some point and welding some straight pipe on to it to joint it to my exhaust. it...
hi all, i am going to be removing the olive joint from the rear end of my cat as it is whistling. is the pipe 2.5"? i'm guessing the way to do it is too cut off the olive joint and weld a few inches of pipe (2.5" pipe?) onto the end of the cat and then just rejoin it direct to my cat-back...
i have just done my cambelt & dephaser on my 182 and now i have a real light tapping noise at idle that i never noticed before i did the work. it doesn't do it all the time. i need to have a listen in the engine bay when it does it but i think it might be the charcoal canister solenoid that i...
hi all, when i did my cambelt i noticed that my driver side headlight had the automatic adjuster wire disconnected (obviously for a reason) so i connected it back up and found that the headlight aim is constantly moving up and down. the passenger side is all connected and is working fine. is...
i have the exact same exhaust and i was told it was stainless steel when i bought my car too but it is not (my fault for not checking). to me it doesn't sound amazing but it's ok, it has a bit of a deep muffled tone, mine doesn't sound tinny or high pitched. perhaps it could have something to do...
phase1sr- i love how the wheels are sticking out the arches on that, it makes it look like the wheels are more like 7-8 inches wide. that finished with some miglia wide arches or similar, it would look awesome.
i have a 1973 mini at the minute sat on a car spit with a whole new floor pan that's...
thanks, i just wanted to double check as i fitted mine the way you did and i was getting a massive banging noise over every bump from the back end, it stopped though after the first day and i haven't had it since. i think it may have just been the exhaust catching on the rear beam but i don't...
hi, just wanting to double check the rear springs should go on with the writing so you can read it and not upside down?
there is also a white mark on the spring too but i don't know if that has anything to do with locating it
thanks
thanks
i touched the paint up today in some areas that required it, i also did the headlight restoration and they look much better than before, i used the 3m kit and it doesn't even really take that long to do. dependent on the weather i will do some more things that need doing tomorrow but at...
