is it Liquid Yellow or the other one (the name of which escapes me this morning - age thing you know  - but I am sure someone will post the answer for me!!!)
drove ours in snow this morning - had to get up a reasonably long but steep hill in "virgin" snow which was very slippy - had to drive in the grass at the side of the drive to get any traction, and then of course only got traction on one side - which makes for interesting driving I have to say -...
a change of title would be helpful to all parties - Spies is more likely to get people looking at it and then more people will be able to help him/her - either way it looks like the result has been achieved
my list on the 172 Mk1 would have been like that
and the list for the other Mk1 172
and the list for the Cup
and the list for the Vee
and the list for the diesel
unfortunately cannot say the same about the 16v - but then the others were all bought new (or nearly new). ;)
hahahahahahaha - you are such a joker !!! and obviously you have grown a beard and are wearing the not-so-fashionable-type-of-baggy-trousers.
but then you "do" retro dont you !!! ;) those who do modern just dont have any class as far as the "old boys" are concerned do they !!! hehehehe :o
you wont have seen a real life liquid yellow yet, because the only one is the Renault car that was at the Autosport show in Bham in January, and that one is currently on Renault photoshoots.

weve had 2 Mk1 172s and a Cup - they are all brill - its just a matter of your own personal choice really - on looks and how "loaded" you want it
the Cup is slightly quicker, but the 172s are not snails either !!!
only a female opinion, but ..
we have a valver, and I used to have a standard Mk1 172 (apart from Koni shocks and Apex springs) - and have driven both round Bedford - I know it isnt the most technical, or "twisty" track in the world, but in my "only female" opinion the 16v was less fun and...
welcome back Ben !!! :D be good to see you again at one of the meets, and in a "fellow CSers" car - youre right about the tlc and the correctly driven with Dais car - and the sale of it goes to fund big and great things for Dai and J!
it will stop towards the end of this year I believe, when they stop making the current shape clio - Aug/Sept time if my memory serves me correctly.
however, I will email Mr T to find out the exact answer, in case he doesnt see this post.

I sold mine to a lad in Chesterfield, believe it has been seen up there since I sold it.
definitely the ONLY colour for a mk1 172 (imho of course!!!)
and rare yes, cos not everybody has the bottle to go for the colour
Sunflower is nothing like liquid yellow, it is a supergloss colour, not...

which one is your choice - some people think the external ones will either get nicked or wear off quicker - had an external one on all of our cars, none have been nicked or worn off (even those on the rear screen being attacked by wiper!!).
