we did over 40k in ours, in 2 years, and never had a problem, with anything at all - perhaps you were unlucky - or is there a difference between Mk1 and Mk2?
you clearly haven't been on a track with JT - believe me, they are faster than the figures suggest, and driveable round a track fast with the right driver - they will beat all the cups / 182's (except for very heavily modified ones) etc., if you can handle it.
We had ours for 2 years, and certainly didn't get bored of it, drove it everyday, it was my daily ride, in and out of London 2/3 times a week as well.
loved it, sorry it had to go, Trophy is nice, but not a patch on the V6 - it is completely different, the power band is not revvy like a 2.0...
due to bad driving - not due to lack of abs - cars haven't always had abs you know, but not everybody drives into fences cos they don't have abs !!! ;)
if ours hadn't still been in warranty and we lived close enough I would have been more than happy to get my car serviced and looked after by David at K-tec - there are always some people who have favourites (BB, K-tec, GDI etc) but I have dealt with all of those three mentioned and my preference...
agreed, Camden MK are pretty crap from the service point of view - however the sales is in a different league, cos the salesman actually knows what he is talking about with regard to Renaultsport cars.
2 of us for a week's holiday in south of france - plenty of room, and having done over 40000 in ours, using it every day, up and down motorway, in and out of London, if you love it you will love it every day, regardless .....
I would happily drive one every day again, if someone wants to donate...
J - it doesn't spin like a Mk1 Silver 172 ;) plus it's too slow as well !!!
(and don't flame me for that comment - it's based on owning one and taking it on track and personally finding it too slow ok !!!)
they are very different - we had a pearl black diesel, and the vee was black gold - the pearl black is also a nice colour, but black gold is way better imo
have you searched this topic? I think the answer is out there already !! if not, try RenaultSport forum, JT might see it quicker there, or someone else from Renault will have the answer
there are at least 7 I know personally !!! but obviously there are more than that
ours has uprated brakes (necessary if, as Lee says, you do many track days) and an exhaust - just gives it a bit more "noise" as in standard form it is a bit quiet, especially on track, it sort of "hums" past!!! :o have also put harnesses in, can be taken out of course if required.
standard...
well there was 100% nothing wrong with that car when you bought it, apart from the stone chips, and it's apparently had all sorts of problems since you owned it ...... your statement doesn't hold water hon !!! hence I would not like to pay you £17k for the car thanks !!! ;)
we had a 172 cup before the V6 255 - the cup was great and the Vee was super great - and yes, it is quicker actually, despite what people say
and the smiles never stop - and at the moment petrol is cheaper anyway - unless you just plain can't afford it, and then of course there is no fun...
