If the wire earths out then it will set off the light. Jack it up, take off the wheels and have a look, youll find the wire has a bit of insulation rubbed off somewhere and its touching the subframe.
Ill have a set you can have for a tenner next week if you want some. ITs off a Clio 1 though (>98) PM me if you want them, repeaters and orange bulbs all included
Paddy I think youve said it all. Sadly theres just no getting round the equation:
young driver + fast car = crash + big insurance payouts
If I were running an insurance company Id only ever insure 25-50 year old men. BMW drivers would pay a £1000 excess.
AFAIK the F7 engine calculates fuel requirements by engine speed and manifold pressure (using the MAP sensor). Thats it, nothing more complicated than that. As others have already said Jimbo, you need a chip - the standard fuelling and timing will not release the power of the cams, they are a...
I fitted it and I was pleased with it, saved me petrol quite noticeably, but thats on a 16v and I think the effect varies from car to car. Theres plenty of stuff on here thats been said before about the Ecotek, do a search for it. Its what you might call a hot topic on here.
Knocking is a nightmare. I hope it is something simple cos I spent a year replacing everything in a vain attempt to track it down. It was worse when cold, sounded like (if you can imagine it) someone rattling a fork in an ice cream tub. Once it was warm it only did it on the more noticeable...
A proper WIlly box from Renault (apparently reconditioned, but theyre brand new off the production line as far as I can see, and my contact with Renault UK has told me) is only £550
Tom you read my mind. If i did do the roof I am seriously thinking about that cos I do like the ventilation, just not the sun. Already got the part numbers all lined up, I can get a proper carbon fibre one for about £250 including all the vents and stuff inside.
Mine did the same last time I did the same sort of thing with the wheels off - the hubs rotate because there is nothing stopping them from turning, there must be a slight contact between the engine and hubs even if in neutral?
Well my first car was a Fiesta 1.0 Popular...this car was built to be modded, mainly cos it had nothing as standard, not even a stereo. There are too many crappy mods to list so Ill start with the first - and worst - you know in the eighties you used to get those ghetto blasters and everyone...
Go to Halfords, they got everything you need all in one aisle . BTW compared to the lower parts of the engine, the rocker cover doesnt get that hot really so exhaust manifold paint will be kind of overkill!
I dunno, thats why I need advice. I know about the mechanicals of a valver but once were onto bodywork, I have no idea. Where would you cut the old roof out? Along the rails? Would a replacement roof be as strong?
Im thinking of respraying the whole valver and I want to get rid of my sunroof - Williams style! Its drastic I know but think about this:
1. I dont like the sun on my head - ever
2. I want to get rid of those bloody rattling blinds
3. Im trying to lighten the car - surely the sunroof and...
The RGM stuff is the one you want. We had a bit of a deal on it a few months ago, but that special online price disappeared after a few days. You better break out the hydraulic cutters though if youre planning on getting it to fit. That stainless woven rod is like kryptonite. If I ever crash my...
If when you turn the steering wheel you seem to be going straight on (and vice versa) then its definitely knackered. :)
Seriously though, is it making noises or rattling around, loose?
hehe yeah you got it all set up Paul!
All this talk of Zex and NOS, theyre the new kids on the block, at least in the UK. Who you gonna call when your Zex kit doesnt work? Not Trev at Wizards of Nos in Doncaster thats for sure!
Rob- theres a lot to be said for straight line speed, remember...
