Superb that'll be a bit easier then, Any thoughts on why it might have cracked?, I'm thinking maybe engine mounts could need replacing?.

I've found a crack in one the pipe to flange section on my manifold so it's gonna have to come out for re-welding, Question is has anyone managed to get the 172 manifold out from the top of the engine or do you really have to drop the subframe to get the f**ker out??.

Am looking into ordering a new manifold to head gasket on euro car parts but they don't seem to list one for my engine code. My question is will any of the others they list fit? F4R 712 F4R 713 F4R 732 F4R 736 They are all bore size 82.7 Mm and have the same Manufacturer code EM881.

Yeah i think so i just fitted a Ktec decat pipe and supersport with the unsilenced centre section. It does sound like its coming from the manifold area though. Don't bother with it your better saving your pennies for a Meguiars G220 or something similar.

I'd use it to degrease/desilcone a car that was going in for paintwork maybe but NO WAY would i use it for anything else.

This is an X plate 00 car and the twin cat only has 1 lambda sensor at the front, I think its 2 if the car has OBD is this correct?. But it is the right cat isn't it?

Looking into buying a new exhaust for 2000 X plate 172, The indended use is evryday car and some Track days/Hillclimb sprints occasionally. So i'm looking at getting something that will release some BHP but not be too noisy i'm 37 and like my hearing the way it is. Any suggestions?.

Hi folks, Another newbie from Scotland here, bought myself a 172 sport with the intention of tracking it and the odd hillclimb and sprint too. Needs a few bits sorted but is quite a good wee package so far. Any one recommend an exhaust for these things.
