I've been following the leaks, does look like it could be a solid iPhone SE beater. £350 with 128GB for a start.
But, unless my Pixel 2 dies, I'm not changing. Honestly, I need nothing more from a phone than this thing consistently gives me. The fact that it's a refurbed replacement unit direct...
I had the luxury of an oil temp gauge on the Focus RS and on my 13 mile commute I hit mile 9 or 10 before the oil was up to temp. It made it very clear to me that low miles isn't all that...most low mileage cars have spent their entire life running with cold oil!
Agreed 100%. It's a great phone, very good value...if they release a Max SE and my Pixel died I'd have another go at iOS. Such good value for such a little powerhouse of a phone.
I was Google Play all the way...but Megan needed Spotify, had a student trial, then we worked out full membership for yo fam was just a few £s more. Now we're all hooked. Love it.
You know me. My need for a solid satnav is very limited...I just want it more for music...and the inbuilt Spotify app on iDrive works from my Android handset very well indeed.
I think that's enough for me.
They all worked! They just weren't as accessible or integrated as a I touched upon. Really, I could or should have stopped the list above at point 1.
I completely agree but the accountant in me was also a big factor; my Pixel 2 XL wasn't bust so it didn't need fixing.
The 6 days I lived...
As an update on this, after less than a week, it was boxed up and then returned for a full refund.
Why?
1. It turns out that my Pixel 2 XL charging port hadn't bust again; seeing someone else's fluff they'd picked out of their USB-C port prompted me to do the same and, hey presto, it worked...
The Ford RS bubble that I lived in for a year and a half is a very strange place.
Over the time that I put 19,000 miles on mine, someone else put 400 miles on his, and I was called out for not being a true enthusiast because I spoke out about the engine being made of cheese.
I had more seat...
Exactly. Another year with an LSD equipped rear wheel driven 360bhp 1,400 kg car is no real hardship tbh. a power increase is only an app download and insurance call away after all.
It's a slippery slope though. a remap is likely to be the start of spending tons of money on things the car...
LOL you beat me to it...
Reading a lot of the comments (which is primarily why I made this one) has made me shift position completely.
I did have my finger poised over the "buy" button for MHD. My insurance renews next weekend so I thought, boom, let's 'ave it. 430bhp. Why not?
Now, again...
That was cut in as a late last minute afterthought...otherwise I'd have said exactly this on the video.
Everyone else, super impressed, totally in awe, laughing out loud.
Jeff simply; cool as f**k, yeah whatever.
Yours is an LCI2 model? With the 'digital' dials? It was an addition on the...
Less than a day with the new SE so far, and I've realised it's not Android I'm attached to, but Google.
I've still a sh*t ton of setup to do with all the apps I've downloaded, and a load more inbuilt ones to get rid of or offload, but so far all is good.
I'm sure I'll miss a few of the...
Ordered. Red. 64GB. I hovered over the buy button for a while...but could hear @Jeff simply 's voice telling me to JFDI. That and the promise of Apple Carplay in the 140. Done.
@gally
The 3A is £329, XL is £399.
Home screen live widgets is also a thing I think I'll miss. I like not having to open or switch between apps, what I want to see, notes, calendar, messages, is just there permanently.
It's on par with the 11 Pro from most reviews and side by side comparisons I've seen. The only thing it lacks is night mode.
I have that on my 2XL, it's super effective but gets used about once in every 200 pictures so I can happily do without.
Thining 'aloud'...
The thing that makes me most...
What advantages are there buying direct from Apple instead of SIM free from any of the other resellers? Are there any?
99% certain I'm going to make the switch, the charging port on my Pixel 2 XL is playing up again, the second time, and I'm out of warranty now so thinking f*** it why not...
This phone, along with the potential of having Apply Carplay installed in my bima, may well tempt me away from Android.
Having lived within Android all my life, but not being a heavy user (other than using Google Photos to store two decades of media), is that a huge mistake?
