If they key goes in and it's not damaged you might be OK. It could just be the locking mech attached to the barrell that's damaged and you can manage some kind of bodge to sort the issue once you've got a new door through?
Is the lock barrell from the old door still functioning? You've not made it clear if they broke this, or just jammed it out with a screwdriver?
If so, pretty simple, buy a door in the correct colour from any breakers you can find one in. (Renparts would be my first port of call).
Fit the new...
Get that tatty sticker off (it's not a vw polo ffs) and it'll be lovely. Sounds like a cracking buy.
Shame to hear about the focus, not sure I'd be able to swallow that so you're a better man than me.
TBH, by the time I'd sorted out packing materials, probably 20 quids worth, and sorted the courier, probably at least £50, £30 isn't exactly an extortionate amount of money to charge for time.
The seat price however, wow. If they sell I'm going into business selling Trophy Recaro's.
Buy it!
Rob's sums on running it are rubbish, in even remotely warm weather, once the pump has it up to temp, it'd just come in and out on stat, so wouldn't be constant use at 5kw
I really do like these, but they seem to be depreciation magnets! I had a really decent 2.5 offered to me for silly money, but I didn't want to go for something slower. The 35i sounds great though so I wouldn't mind a drive out in one of those!
Looks cracking in the shots as said, and you...
If anyone else had started this thread, you'd rip right into them.
"Here's an autotrader ad, with some pics of a car I cleaned a week ago. It was proper dirty before, honest".
Useless git.
Really does need to be rescued, but if the seller has a daft figure in his head, more fool him. The longer it sits there, the less he'll be able to get for it. Shame really, as 3k in his pocket is better than a poxy motor on his drive rotting away.
You need to go straight to the shop, buy yourself some Timberlands, a Ralph hoodie and some Levi's.. Pile a few 'boys' in the car and go cruising around thinking you're bad.
Until you take that exhaust off anyway.
But all I've read there is that you want to only own the car for 6 months, yet seem to want to spend time and money trying to make it look marginally better, and in turn making it harder to sell on...
Just lump it for 6 months, or 5 even, as you could lose a month out of that timeline by not...
