thats the problem, normally i'd do it myself or take it to people i know/trust. Renault wouldnt let me do it myself because it was under warrenty (the drive shaft i purchased 2 months ago had a faulty abs ring)
bolted to the floor FTW :D
mind you jay, they bolted the shock back up in such a way that is had visible positive camber, baring in mind what it started with AND id marked it when i had replaced the driveshaft 2 months ago. the car handled dangerously just down bristol road to chris mullins :s
no thankyou, well since asking the question ive learnt its normal, and its my pride and joy wether its a f**king ferrari or a clio. but thanks for your input none the less
see that wouldnt bother me because they/we/owner know you ;)
i mean, ive let mr hunter loose in it on track before and im not one for driving it slowly. i'd just hope it wasnt the spotty aprentice taking it out really
I just thought that was a little excessive to ‘check the wheel goes round’…
It wouldn’t normally bother me, but they put on Heart FM too lol. talk about positive camber afterwards, was undriveable when i picked it up. left it at my mates workshop to be set up tomorrow now, good times
now normally it wouldnt bother me, but today it has. why did Renault Gloucester need to drive my car 7 miles when replacing my offside driveshaft?
i didnt have time to go back into the dealer because i was picking it up in my lunch break, the part was in stock and doesnt need that much of a...
Re: Bomber's PH1 - Just got Awesome. Post #375
ah i get you. the spacing is quite a bit smaller on the hub. in theory, more wear is placed on the bearings with spacers, my idea should help prevent the extra wear because the offset to the bearing (not the offset to the car) stays the same
Re: Bomber's PH1 - Just got Awesome. Post #375
hubcentrics cost about £100 for a decent pair, and i dont really know how wide i need to go. my lazer cut ones should cost less than £10 a pair of 5mm
Re: Bomber's PH1 - Just got Awesome. Post #375
we used the multi story car park at the Quays, to find the road we used you need to turn left just before you go into the car park then its kinda of round the back. we got ushered on as we were leaving though, anti terrorism b****cks
thanks...
Re: Bomber's PH1 - Just got Awesome. Post #375
on the rear ive done it with washers because im so cheap, will see what the results are and then adjust then at home re-correcting the rear toe. front will all be setup a bit more professionally lol.
I will also be producing some 5mm spacers to...
Re: Bomber's PH1 - Just got Awesome. Post #375
things have kind of stalled on the car for the moment, bought another house instead. however, i now have rear camber and am having it all setup next week, loads of negative camber as i only do about 2k miles a year on the road.
not sure what to...
Naith, that 1 wheel pic is quality.
does LA have a different type of sun because the cars/photos look so much better than ours. maybe its just because UK plates are so ghey and noticable/
Im spacing my front and rear wheels out quite a substantial amount and rather than rear hubcentric spacers, was going to have produced some steel 5mm spacers machined to fit perfectly behind the hub.
this would bring the whole hub assembly away from the car, which i believe would help prevent...
ive never shot in RAW up until being tutored a little by Shadowness, now i've seen how much can be done with it i shoot everything RAW and just delete the guff more regularly
Re: No Compromise ph1 ITB build (Fastcar, BTM, TDF, RS Fab) - ITB update p77
haha, nice one. just dont lose the will to rebuild the badger. feeling the love still?
yeah i know, i learnt at the age of 17 how to use a gearbox lol, minced through 2 in my mk2 golf and couldnt afford it, 8 years later i have give anything mechanical an easy time, even on track.
would start with new ECU anyway, not going to try and make it work with OEM
