Just another M3, this time with a V8.

Guess it depends on the buyer. It's got proper bits, but modified cars always have a limited market. May be better to sell some of the juicy bits separately. What's next then? This is going to take some beating!

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Ah yes, I thought they looked familiar. It's probably the fiestas that I have seen them on. It's a tough one really. I guess it depends how much you value ultimate performance really. Obviously lighter is better but, on a road car, where you're probably not reaching the limits every day, and...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Yep, definitely a wheel nerd! I think out of those, the ATS are probably the best looking, followed by the OZ. I don't think dished wheels really suit Clios personally.

    Values of Nice Examples increasing

I'm definitely biased, but I'm with you on this. They look best in flat colours, proper racey.

    Values of Nice Examples increasing

I know this is heresy, but I really don't get why people get so moist over LY. I mean it's nice enough, but I really don't see what all the fuss is about. I wouldn't pay more for it than any other colour.

    My RB 197

Getting the handles off isn't too bad. There is a good guide on Clio197.net which I followed. You have to take the door card off (just a few screws really), and it's not too bad after that. I stripped the handles down totally as I was fitting new keyless buttons at the same time, which made...

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

Agreed. I enjoy Henry's stuff. He has his own style, rather than trying to sound like Harris or Clarkson. For reviews, his videos are usually my first choice. The young guy with glasses is kind of irritating and doesn't seem that knowledgeable.

All 197/200’s on the forum. Get in here!

Really love how mine has settled on the Speedlines and Cooksport springs. Looks just how I hoped: Also made an induction kit for it, as the intake sound is rubbish on a 197:

    W8 engine swapped Lotus Elise

How is that going to fit in an Elise?! Surely it's too wide with the effective V-configuration?

Looks soooooo much better on the Turinis

    Harnesses - talk to me

Exactly as above. If it's only a handful of days a year, just fit four points. 3" straps are more comfortable.

    My RB 197

Yeah this was the first thing I've done for over a year. It could have been worse. I've used Ramair before and they're ok for the price. This is a posh gauze one so should be fine lol

    My RB 197

Cheers mate. It didn't come out too bad. Need to work on my welding a bit though 😂 I've just been out in it. Sounds ok, don't know if it's as loud as a Ktec kit with the standard inlet hose, but it's definitely added some aggression.

    My RB 197

Time for an update. First up, now it's all settled and done some miles, I must say I'm really happy with how it sits on the Speedlines and Cooksport springs. It's just what I wanted. It's a touch stiffer than I hoped it would be, but you can't have everything I guess. Need to fit new rear...

    My New Forester Sti

That sort of thing has been going on for years though. I remember going to RSOC meets 15 years ago and it was just the same, and cruises etc were no different. The only thing that's really changed is that people are videoing it and posting it online.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

You're turning into the ultimate wheel nerd :ROFLMAO: How anyone can make a 15" wheel weigh over 7kg is beyond me. I don't think that's much different to the 17s on my 197.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

BTCC have access to unlimited wheels pretty much. In my experience, it tends to be the inner part of the rim that buckles, so you may not notice it, but it wouldn't surprise me if they get through a few. That being said, circuits are probably the most friendly place for wheels. I had a set of...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

There's definitely something in this tbh. A lot of wheels do seem susceptible to buckling, so maybe there's a bit of a compromise to be made? I guess stuff designed for rally cars should be quite tough in theory, though wheels are fairly disposable things in the world of motorsport. I like the...

Oh ok, my bad. That's a bit s**t :ROFLMAO:

They shouldn't come loose 😂 I put thread lock on mine and they stayed put.

    Arctic blue Integra DC5

I do like these, though I was always more of a DC2 fan. They're a nice looking car for sure though. The only thing I'm not that into are the factory wheels. They let it down a bit for me, so I'd have to change them.

Turinis, 100% TDs look ok on track/race cars, but this looks really fresh on the Turinis.

Brigsy's other cars - formerly kangoo 172 cup

Can't say I'm surprised by the mount. They did one for the Escort years ago and it just used to disintegrate, was nowhere near up to the job. The Clio ones seem ok, but I would be cautious with others. Van looks great otherwise 👍

I read it as, "Wow, that's a coincidence"

How is rally spectating still legal?

You can't police every mile of every stage, but you can usually cover most of the access points. The vast majority won't stray that far, so will stay in areas where there are marshals and can be controlled. Some will hike up the road and out of sight, which I would usually do too on events like...

How is rally spectating still legal?

A lot of that footage looks quite old. Things have changed a lot in the UK in recent years, and a lot of effort goes into spectator safety. A lot of rallies have spectator pens in safe places, and there are prohibited zones that you're not allowed in (the outside of corners, escape roads etc)...

One of, if not the worst S3 I’ve ever seen

That's pretty nasty. I did actually quite like the early-to-mid 2000s excess though. At least people were being creative and building unique cars. Now it's just a set of those shitty Maxton extensions, some springs and a pops n bangs remap. Oh and maybe some Bola/Rota wheels if they're feeling...
