    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

I bet they drove f**king terribly though. I had a few MK5/6 Escorts with 17x7J rims and the tram-lining was monumental

Yeah I remember that too. They were quite a popular mod on normal Escorts, RS Turbos and Saph Cossies and the like, but the prices have gone mad for all that stuff now.

And more... Charger Hellcat Alfa 4C (beautiful but I didn't fit in it) I didn't know a Nissan Patrol Nismo was a thing, but apparently it is:

I think that looks better than the hatch to be honest. The rear of the hatch hurts my eyes.

Clio mk1 Maxi replica Build questions

Loads of places seem to do the kit. Hard to know who does the best quality though. Maxi Motorsport do one that they import from France. Hardest part will be getting the front suspension right, as it will need to be a fair bit wider.

I saw a LY 182 here in Jeddah earlier. Couldn't get a picture unfortunately though. Didn't expect to see one of them!

Nice! Really must drive one of these and make a decision about buying one!

    Stubby aerial or full length?!

Every car I've owned with a non-standard aerial has suffered from terrible radio reception. I don't know if it's where I live, but standard all the way.

I'm not a fan so far. I like some elements from it, but I thought the design of the MK7 was much more cohesive.

I do have a bit of a soft spot for the fox Mustang for some weird reason. Needs to be hard top and massively modified though.

    Fuel additives/cleaners or premium fuels?

I use Tesco Momentum in my 197 and did in my 172 as well. Anecdotally, I just think it reduces the rough running a touch when they're cold. None of my cars have blown up yet, so I shall carry on as I am. If I had a heavily modified car that was mapped for a certain fuel type, I would stick to...

    cs_rich's RS250 Megane

Lots of stuff on them though. I don't mind the MK2 to be honest. It seems a lot of car for the money. Not sure I could ever pull the trigger on one though, given what else is out there.

    cs_rich's RS250 Megane

Would be mega money for the insurer to repair it. Bonnet, wing bumper, headlight. Slam panel looks damaged, door will be damaged, plus all the odd bits like the arch extension, DRL etc etc. You could be in for a fair bill doing it yourself too. I'd chalk it up and move on personally. No one...

    cs_rich's RS250 Megane

I really like the MK2 RS, but by god the interior is awful. The seats are nice, but the dash etc feels like it's from the 90s. It's aged so badly in my view. It wouldn't bother me if it was a track hack but, for a daily, I think it would do my head in. I drove one of those a few months ago...

    cs_rich's RS250 Megane

Buy another one? 😂 A replacement is difficult. I test drove so many of the hot hatches of this era and always ended up coming back to the Megane. The MK3 Focus ST was a bit of a disappointment, Golf GTI I would hold out for a MK7. The only one that I liked almost as much as the Megane was...

    All new Mk5 Renault Clio

I think the big problem was, no matter how good the car was, the fact it was only available as an auto was always going to upset the purists, especially in the UK. When all the previous models were seen as the purist, racy driving experience, an auto was always going to be controversial. I...
