You've done a cracking job of that Tyler, is that why you were busy yesterday then mate?
The finish is quality but I'm not keen on the colour yet (better pictures may help).
The grey however, what an amazing colour. If I ended up having mine done, it'd 1000% be that grey.
Re: Cub 172's Flamer Project
Basically just an advanced catch tank? I like it. Could we then install a small pump off of the 12v cigarette feed to pump it straight back through a 8mm line into a small hole drilled into the oil filler cap?
It'll last forever!
LOL!
As soon as I can afford a decent 12 plate, I hope my plate is still available... ST12 ODE (literally my full surname). (Just checked, it's not, FUDGE).
I quite like the RS51 ZED though, bit pricey mind.
So many mods left to do, I need to push on with my brakes first and foremost though.
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
Well I totally missed this thread, totally.
Love the new wheels, get them on.
Coilovers and brakes too? You're going to regret spending all this when you sell it next week, and you know it!
Re: Cub 172's Flamer Project
Interesting stuff, using oil you say? Sounds like we both own BMW's :o
I wouldn't worry about nursing, I'd just do some tests, pre leaving. So take it for a motorway/a road blast and see how much it uses over 100 miles, then just workout your stops on the way to...
Prick.
Cheers Gallister, I have a full set of 108's (of which, all four are in two pieces and no bolts are broken (quite a rare thing now days it seems)). They're going to be redone, I'm not sure whether to do them myself or pay someone though.
I also have the style 32's, which Ant and I are...
Cheers mate, I like the "I stole it" look, I hardly want to look like some old man driving around in it ;)
Cheers mate, I think I'm still going to space the front 10mm, just for added amazement.
You're not wrong.
I wish Dave, but I think a facelift bumper at least might...
Everyone's entitled an opinion dude! As said I've still got a full set, all split down, ready for me to get to work on, so they're not gone forever. I have three sets of wheels I can chop and change with :o
I'm really happy with them, but knew they were going to be a bit martmite.
It's...
You can't just turn off the German love, it sticks with you and whispers in your ear every time you hear a french rattle... Agree on the offset front, it was one of the main reasons for purchase infact.
Thanks mate!
It is knuckle head, I think I'm at -2.15 per side which is within the...
LOL!
Thanks for the general abuse Samuel. The fact is - the offset is mint, they've got some wicked rubber on them (conti's) and they were a f**king bargain!!!!
They're a pretty god damn rare wheel in the zed world, and they cost me not much after the good price I got on the 108's. (and he...
Cracking work so far mate, loving the attention to detail. Good choice on the tool kit, ph1's are basically big lego sets so it's so easy to do things yourself.
Why not go for the furniture clinic one? price seems superb and he's still happy with it after quite some time doing the work!
Great news on the bolster, mental how the seats just come apart like that.
I just found one guy in Essex, so I'll give him a call at some point. I'd heard a lot about HEL (that's the one I was thinking of), hope I don't have to go all the way down there!!!
"Custom" braided brake lines shouldn't be too bad at all mate, from what I've seen/heard anyway. It's just a connector either end and some line..
It's the fact I need BMW Z4 one end, Brembo (Alfa Brembo if it make a difference) and I need the length to be correct, so I doubt I'd find off the shelf.
I've seen this mentioned on here many times in the past but now can't seem to dig up what I'm looking for....
Anyone know of any companies (local to me would be better, but not essential) that do custom brake lines?
I'd like to get to work on fitting some brembo's to the BMW, but I need...
Oh, here, have a read of this... it's not quite the one I was looking for, but it's close. (The same guy, but I'm sure I found a longer one before).
He gets furniture clinic leather dye, and basically paints it on (after quite a lot of prep, then has to wait a week and condition it before...
f**k me, that new roof looks awesome. I love the progress.
It's not just gliptone you want mate, there's a company that do full dying kits, you basically paint the s**t on. Someone on the zed forum did it to some //M seats and the results were AMAZING.
I'll find you a link. It looks so...
