for something so small, i may as well do it myself... its an invonvenience being without the car. Westover admitted all they would be willing to do is seal the bolts.
you painted it at lunchtime, and its already back on your car at 5pm?
thats no where near enough time for the paint to cure properly, especially in the frost tonight.
haha
im impressed at the effort gone into this thread in such a short space of time! cheers mate.
just unclip the leads from the coils then yeah?
im handy with a spanner... but to be honest mate i dont have a clue where any of those things you've just mentioned are! (apart from the bolts, which i can handle) haha
I need to remove the plenum to access the bolts on the 'thing' below it, which are leaking oil so need resealing/tightening.
It looks a bit daunting, so can someone tell me how to remove it? there's sensors, coilpack, throttle body etc all connected to it so im a little cautious of pulling...
Well, phoned renault today and had a few words with the service manager. Due to my car only having an extended dealer warranty left, they will only fix the problem, which in this case is stopping the leak in any way they see fit.
Basically he said they'll just reseal the bolts... so i told...
my clutch pedal has been creaking for a while, i diagnosed it wasnt the cable, so today the dash came off and i set about cleaning and greasing up all the moving parts of the pedal assembly.
its now 100% smooth and creak free :D
