what could cause that? my throttle position never shows below 10%, but it cant be idling high (ie. creating more manifold pressure) as its normal rpm at idle 750-800ish....
yeah 172 crank sensor...
...matteh, if there is an issue with the CPS the engine wouldnt even carry on firing surely, as people who have faulty ones seem to never get the car to fire into life, just turn over....so surely the engine would cut completely if it was faulty, and not hit the...
Just double checked, nothing Oil related on the ECU at all...only other thing that sprung to mind is CPS, but it wouldnt run if that was knackered correct? and the knock sensor, but both are giving (what seem to be) normal readings into the logs...
thermostat opens fine yes......coolant is upto temp fine, its on the logs (just not graphed).
good 10-15 mins of driving before hammering, oil plenty upto temp. Running mk1 oil level/temp sensor yeah, not connected to ECU though (just checked pin diagram, no oil related inputs?)
Thought I would post up in here as im sure many people wont go through the pages on my project thread, far to messy.
Anyway, as you may know, I cant get my 172'd Mk1 to rev past 6k. We originally thought this was down to the ECU not getting a speed reading, but now ive fixed that, and its...
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
There is around 200 seconds of normal driving, then im stood stationary, and revving it a few times upto 3000, then one blip to 5000ish. I pull away and hit the limiter in two out of 3 gears, then slow for roundabout on my private runway.
Then pull away...
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
yeah,
http://www.f0xy.net/RSTuner_LD_2009-05-07_21-53.csv
RSTuner will only plot 16 items at one time, so i chose the most relevant 16.
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
the 0-100 wasnt full throttle to be honest, it was behind a car then pulled out with more throttle then eased back at 100....though, it never goes above 82% ish
If i do a log, what data do we need....Lambda....what else (thats missing)?
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Data logs attached. One is in time order (how it was logged), other is in order highest revs first (to see if anyone can spot anything with the surrounding data)...
(there are some variables missing as not all were logged, only half the options were...
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Coolant temprature is showing fine, sensor seems to be 100% working. The data collected for it shows consistency, no unusual values etc
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
they read lambda voltage, but to get the proper 'air/fuel ratio', you need a sensor in the end of the exhaust with a wideband input to log it IIRC....ie like when you go on a rolling road to get fuelling data, how its running etc...
My data has 'Lambda...
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
unfortunately no, rstuner dosent have the lambda/or/air-fuel ratio output....well my model dosent anyway, i know the newer ones have additional options...
It literally bounces off the limiter at 5700-6000 (seems variable after lookiing at the data), dosent...
