I think they look a bit fiddly to suit the clio but i could be wrong its real hard to say until they are on, its certainly not a safe bet and its a decision i would want to get right baring in mind the monies involved.
A 182 would rinse a 172!! As long as you made sure you didnt blow the welds on the intake it would be game over as soon as the Vtec kicked in imo iirc ftw
Mark Fish top mounts are the dogs danglies, cant imagine you'll see much change from £400 mind. There is talk that you can buy washers that will eliminate excessive top mount movement, could be worth a look if your not thinking of spending 3 figures.
"especially when the wheel is not the part that is deteriorating" eeeerr what? have they never seen a 1*2 steering wheel? mines looked like its been melting since 30k miles. Anyone that can bring a thumb grip replacement to market for around £30 will do very well for themselves imo.
Keep putting pressure on the garage to fix the car + the aux/timing belt maybe ask citizens advice about where you stand as im sure you'll get both problems fixed if your firm enough with the garage.
I know its no wonder fix but im just happy it drives and ive got it home, plus now ive got the 182 back :D public transport sucks balls!! next time it fails i think it might mysteriously catch fire..
Ok my last week has been a nightmare, my girlfriends car broke down with a suspected clutch/gearbox issue we had it towed to my friends workshop (he breaks cars so has all the tools we might need) he looks under the bonnet tells me the clutch cable has broken and we'll need to get the box out to...
When i first had my Gaz coils they came with 250lb front springs i changed them for 400lbs and sent my front shocks back to Gaz to have the bump increased (made the front shocks firmer) the adjustment on the my front Gaz shocks adjusts rebound (how quick the shock returns from being compressed)...
I thought that till i saw one today it looked sweeeeet!! Would never be my first colour choice but then again neither would the red and that looks amazing too!! its a tough call really.
When my box died it cost me £1000 to get the car back on the road :( i wish i had bought a secondhand box but my hands were tied at the time. The garage i took my car to said stripping the box was an 8 hour job!! so it was never going to be cheap.
This sounds odd tbh i have Gaz setup on my 182 and camber bolts, i cant remember the last time i had understeer!! i would get the geometry checked for starters then move forwards from there.
What tyres you running?? which Gaz you running Gha or Gold
Also i run firm up front and soft at the...
I have a friend who would have the front end respayed if he found something like this!! He has a serious problem when it comes to cars and keeping them immaculate.
I can hear an odd noise from the rear of my car nothing im worried about as the car handles fine but on inspection the only thing that raises an eyebrow is how easily the rear arch liners make a noise when i kick the rear bumper.. not sure if the two noises are related mind :P
^^^ i get between 36-46+ all day long in my 182 if you dont put your foot down a 2litre engine will be more economical than a 1.4 its all about how you drive it. Topgear did a test where an m3 followed a prius at race pace and the m3 returned better mpg than the prius!! its all about how you...
