172 has a wheel well so exhaust wont fit but you can get a 182 look exhaust for the 172 iirc

How do you mean make your own? buy a silicone bend and a filter? I guess you are looking for an induction roar rather than bhp gains? If you were looking for bhp gains i would be tempted to get hold of a cliosport airbox with an itg panel filter in. You would need a reducter pipe as the 1.2's...

Yea its all a learning curve, many tasks seem alot more daunting than they actually are when you come to do them :) although saying that the fronts arnt a walk in the park but with spring clamps and a spare pair of hands it should be quite doable. Also on the mk2 i had to invest in a 21mm...

Yea this is normal, Not completely sure why but i assume its because the rear of the car weighs alot less than the front so the locking mechanism isnt needed?

You may not necessarily see the benefits of an induction setup without a remap to suit, are you running the standard v6 internals or similar to the jms setup? whats the induction noise like? This is quite a valid test i might see what losses my itg maxogen gives me lol, never thought to do...

Sounds like a bit of a rip tbh, im not a mechanic but surely you could have gotten away with just the coil pack if that was the problem rather than coil pack and leads?? but in the end if its going better atleast thats something.

You'll probably notice the spring your taking off has a similar thing going on i.e. has some level of bumpstop protection in the form of rubber around a few coils of the spring, so just go by that. I believe the rubber bit is at the bottom. To Late lol
