Never seen this before! Nice build, all very well thought out. Couple of questions though...
What door pulls are you using and what are the surrounds from? They look quite neat.
How did you get on with this paint? Does it go on ok and how durable is it? Does it resist scratches and stains...
Looks great with the ride height sorted and the splitter on. Shame there is no video.
I suspect I have missed this, but what's it going to be used for?
If this is the case (if being the operative word of course), then it will soon be solved. It may well be that they can just revise the head machining process to leave a bit more material in place. At worst, a revision to the block/head casting will almost certainly be possible and that will make...
Yeah a lot of them have the time to do the content because they don't need a proper job. I see that a lot in car journalism too. A lot of them have money anyway so can spend their time making YouTube videos.
It's frightening really, especially given the crap some of them post 😂
How do you even go about setting up? Got any useful links? Would be interested to read them.
Would struggle to choose between those too. Think the blue might work better with the phase one lines though.
That's metallic lol. Having seen one in the flesh, they are stunning.
Definitely agree on a solid colour. Metallics on stripped/caged cars don't often complement the race look anyway. With yellow highlights, something along the lines of RB would tempt me, though it has been done a few times. Red would look "Noddy" so that would be out for me. If you've got a...
Sounds like a busy couple of months! I suppose you can look at it from the perspective that it's giving you a push to get it done though. I think the car would look great in the grey that the doors are in those pictures. Or grey inside with RB outside? What about yellow? I like yellow, as you...
It does amaze me how bad the trim in these cars is! So many other cars last donkey's years without having any of this kind of trouble. Good ol' Renault.
Big improvement that!
You pays your money, takes your choice. The used Billies (I think that's what they are) aren't going to be worth £4k. With the Cup car you benefit from the beefy uprights etc, as well as the cage and fancy dash. Their are many ways to skin a cat of course. My point was that it's very easily...
No, but you could easily have a set of dampers made to suit. Most suspension companies would be willing to do it. @EVOgone has Reiger on his rally car which are obviously at the top end of the market, but Avo would do a set for about £1k. You can buy the cars for around £10k, so not that much in...
A spring and damper change would sort a Clio Cup car. I believe the phase 1 V6 road cars are supposed to be a bit lively, let alone the race car, but a spring/damper change and some fine tuning would sort that I'm sure.
I was referring more to this kind of thing, albeit it's a rather extreme example, partly exacerbated by silly Americans who don't know how to drive: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/toyota-unintended-acceleration-has-killed-89/
An engine having a fault is annoying, but s**t happens. It's not going...
I think I'd sooner have an engine recall than some of the brake/airbag/other safety related recalls that happen that we never even hear about.
There's no doubting that this is a bit embarrassing for Ford, given the hype surrounding the car and the fact that the 2.3 engine is fairly well-proven...
Cars are recalled all the time and problems slip through the net all the time. While this is a more significant issues than others, no car is perfect. These are incredibly complex machines, so you will never catch every single fault. s**t happens. If they fix it under warranty, who cares?
Mark...
When I was a kid, our Christmas decorations went up two weeks before Christmas. I could have begged all I wanted, it would have made f**k all difference 😂
Car looks nice.
People do seem to be getting very excited about the problem but it's a bit over the top really. The car has a problem, it will be fixed under warranty, job done. If it's only 5-10% of them, it really is being blown out of proportion. The only drag will be if some of the cars that are unaffected...
I did find myself thinking "PCP willy waving contest"
I've never understood the scooter thing. When I used to go to cruises years ago, gangs of them would show up. I'd be embarrassed to be seen on one lol
