Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project im running a megane f7r bottom end, the pistons dont look dished to me, just valve recesses :S not as far as i can see going to take the valves out of the head shortly

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project they are 32mm IIRC, megane are 33mm (which i have 8 of) not sure if the stem length is the same though?

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project yeah, lol....right its fully in pieces now Pistons: Head: (6 or 8 Bent, cant really definately tell without taking them out, and I couldnt be arsed) Left the head in the garage, and took the AUX belt off along with the covers for the bottom pulley etc...

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project Bit of an update.....Got the cam cover off... Nice chewed up belt....pulled it out... Had a quick look.... Bit of gravel, im guessing there definitely must be more down the bottom for this to happen :(

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project Going to take the head off tomorrow, and look at the damage. If none of the inlet valves are bent, its possible I could rebuild this easily, as i have a spare set of exhaust valves. Although, if any of the inlets are bent, I'm stuck.... If thats the case, I'm either...

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project yeah, but its a backwards step, and it has problems in itself (why i did the williams head in the first place) it drinks fuel, etc..... im going to take the engine out and sell the bottom end and head seperately i think, then go from there....the block is shite, and jynxed
