Found a photo of the original kit, the setup I bought was new unfitted, and obviously the owner had specced 2 piece rotors instead, looks like it’s the original intention to have that gap anyway.
The Volvo OE or the ST ones? I don't recommend the Volvo calipers at all, I currently run Yellowstuff in the ST ones (and they're actually still OK), but they're still not a track pad. I'd probably go for something like a DS2500 for road or for track a DS3000, something like that.
100% necessary, I can assure you!
The pads in the Wilwoods are a lot longer, and the clamping force is a lot higher, so it does make sense. I loved how the wilwoods felt when I had them on, it was just the fact they were constantly twatting the rotor hats. That was on the gentlest compound...
Hi all.
Was dicking around with the Volvo earlier. Some of you may remember I had real issues getting fitment right for my Wilwoods - the setup came with 2 piece rotors (see first pic), which were great apart from the fact that the hats were slightly too big, and hit the edge of the pads whilst...
There’s always been car mods for Assetto, but this site is doing a great job of putting them all under one roof.
Lots of tracks out there too! Try racedepartment for those.
Keep checking that website boys, as cars are being added literally every day. Morgan Aero 8 GT2 today, amongst others. f**k yeah, love that car.
When you inevitably hit 120gb worth of cars, you'll get a launcher crash when loading cars on startup. No problem though, I use this launcher now...
Wait until you see the real serious s**t I've got lined up.
I don't want to say too much, but 100 cable ties, and driveshafts. Fred and Rose ain't got s**t on me.
I did think that but it doesn’t explain the other stuff not working. I think the CEM also controls the charging of the battery, but it needs properly looking at.
I've just spent the last 20 minutes looking through VIDA's technical information, which annoyingly doesn't include wiring diagrams. I don't think I can do anything to help you at the side of the road, it sounds possibly CEM related.
Yeah, possible someone has kicked the fusebox as it’s in the top of the footwell.
Otherwise it’s probably worth plugging into VIDA and seeing what’s up.
All white. If you want to use different colours then you'll probably have to use all white LEDs and then filter everything, as for example blue LEDs with a red filter will block all light.
I left it stock, as the needles have a red backing to them, but you could scrape that off and put a circle of filter sheet around the motors, or in fact you could paint the backs of the needles a different colour, if you were lighting everything with white LEDs.
For example, with GTA V, I enjoyed the story line, so I wanted to perform the missions to see how the story turned out, plus there’s an objective to it all - finding bits of spaceship on the seabed so you can see the message ‘spaceship parts found 23/31’ doesn’t have any real plot or reward.
Yes but the point is that the MSA is in a position to make a complaint to the relevant chiefs, and should do so to protect the interests of its club level racers.
You’re right though, it’s aimed at the trackday heroes.
None that I haven’t finished due to difficulty, but plenty that I’ve done the main core and then not been bothered to do all the shitty little side quests etc.
