Engine is plummed in and runs but there is an issue with the alternator and the brakes are shocking as well. Swapped the lowering blocks on the rear for some slightly different lowering blocks which has improved the rear ride height.
So, another day and another start up attempt;
Eventually got her started and as seen above got some flames! Still needs some tweaking but we're going in the right direction!
More progress today. @craigyt spent a full twelve hours on her and just at the end as we were ready to fire her up a shitty fuel hose piece failed so gonna be after chrimbo now before we get to fire it up.

I was under the impression that it would be easier with the welded diff but it wasn't! It's far easier in the 940 with the open diff but that might be due to the extra boooost that the 940 has.
Bit of stripping on the donor by @craigyt tonight.
I'll be using the exhaust on mine but will be sticking with my standard 1.7 rad.
Trying to flog the donor as a rolling shell but that's proving a little challenging....
It's at Craig's place at the moment. Think he's planning on doing an evening of stripping this week if you fancy a trip down I'm sure he wouldn't mind the company.
