I found it quite difficult to just paint the letters leaving the Std Shiny Silver..... In the end I decided to respray the whole badge Silver and then paint the lettering..... It worked much better from my experience.
I had a complete New Rear Disk, Bearing and ABS Ring assembly fitted while getting the Lines put on so wouldn't have thought it would be that unless they were wrongly fitted

I'm pretty much using exactly what Jamie has recommenedced there Tim and as you know my car usually comes up quite nicely and none of that stuff is expensive.
Too much plain chrome in that top section IMO.... Along the right lines but making them much more similar to OE but with a thin strip of LED's would be the best bet
I fitted some Braided Lines to my car a few weeks ago and all was well but in the last week when I apply the Brakes I hear a clicking sound and it seems to be coming from the area where the braided lines were fitted,

Back on Topic I've had the GAZ Coiolovers on for 18 Months and unless I go on really really $hit roads I have no issues with them.... Much nicer than some cars I've been in running all sorts of Price Range Suspension

I would honestly say none of it has seemed to make much difference TBH
Brakes and Suspension and keeping it well serviced is all...
