I've heard Nialls and it sounds great! I really like how mine sounds at the minute, but just too boomy which can be frustrating. Made sense going this route as selling my current system will recoup most of the costs.

Sooo, I endulged and bought a milltek non resonated system with decat. I was fedup of my current system always blowing and hanging low and thought this was the best course of action! I decided it would be easier just buying a sleeved system rather than getting my olive joint remove and rewelded...

Transformation from before to after is insane! Proper love this car especially on the 1.2s. Think you went right on the colour 100%. The sunstrips a nice edition too. I had one before but think I went too large which put me off. Yours looks just right!

Genuinely love this car now! Really enjoying making it mint and doing small projects on the side. It's filthy at the minute though but really don't see the point washing it as it'll get dirty again just as quick.

To be fair, the wrap will look great to those 15 year olds down Maccies.

Fitted my new oem painted bonnet today. Most know how long ive been after one of these for. Had a little struggle aligning it and getting the bonnet to unlatch after closing but all sorted and lubed up now. It's nice to have a bonnet without huge dents. Just need to clean the rest of the car now!!

All seems fine. Just sprayed in some wd and worked with with a screwdriver. Everything on the bonnet is also greased up now.

Managed to get it open and I played with the hinges and now it opens on the latch. Kind of worried about it flying open on me now though

If you post on the Ford forums they'll say you're done the right thing if that makes you feel better

Just fitted a new bonnet and thought everything was aligned. Closed it down and it latched but now it won't unlatch from the inside. How do I get it open? I got my gf to hold the latch and I tried pulling it but it's going nowhere. Is it safe to drive even though it won't unlatch from the...

I was going to turn an 18mm groove into the bottom of the quiafe knob so that it located and didn't rattle. But your idea might be better

Did some more on the shifter today. Started by adding a recess onto the collar I had left on the shaft. I then had a rummage at work in the scrap metal bin and found a bit of 28mm OD aluminium. Turned this down with an internal lip to the diameter of the step on the shaft and an ID of 18mm...

I'll be milling a slot lower down for the dowel pin to sit through and then bonding this to the original plastic section that will be cut down. The OD of the original black plastic is 15mm so should slide over nicely. Fingers crossed. :smile:
