    Give the little nipple a clean on the passenger wing mirror. If that doesn't help then it probably needs replacing IIRC they cost around £30.

    The cold shouldn't really affect it starting, my 172 fires into life first time ATM.

    I guessing you have a k-tec stealth? IIRC a new exhaust backbox bracket is around £20.
