Not sure mate, I had both mine replaced about 2 years, ago IIRC it wasn't that expensive.

Sounds like you need a windscreen wiper motor.

Get a Mk2 172, mines on just under 115k, and runs great!

It just needs a bit of TLC. I'd just either buy a new Renault back-box for approx £100, or a new cat back system.
