VERY easy stuff for anyone that knows anything about computers. Really not difficult.
If you decide to do it at the computer shop, give them your external drive... (with a decent amount of space on it).
Tell them you want them to plug your computers HDD...
None of your data is lost if you do it right. Personally I'd do as suggested and plug the HDD into another machine, copy all you want off of it and then reformat the hard drive.
As obvious as it sounds coming from someone on a Clio forum, it really is quite true. The 106 GTI being the only other alternative, but for me they're a little too basic.

I'd actually go for the diesel. That's like 1300 odd miles a month just getting to and from uni,factor in personal mileage and I'd say the MPG of the diesel would definitely be a good thing.
