    Racing blue

Have they just been looking at the prices of standard 182's/ colours? Does seem a little on the low side to be honest.

What trolley jack does everyone use?

Well my SGS one is getting delivered on monday, and for the £35 posted I can't complain. Storage and transportation up and down stairs were my main concerns but in the future i'll invest in a bigger one. Will update when I get it if people want? Can never have enough tools!

    Cup brake light LED

I was just wondering before I buy a whole new unit whether it would be possible to just solder in a normal 12v LED strip? I have a few lying around and seems like an easy job? Or am I missing something? They're waterproof strips too which would eliminate the problem if water came into contact...

    BG 182

Probably is yeah, just not had chance yet as I get insured on it on the 20th so can't take it anywhere.

    You're wrong but that's okay

    RB 182s

The sports must just get mistaken for normal clios with a ' chavvy loud exhaust' to a lot of people as they're probably cars people don't know exist necessarily. You very rarely see them about.

    BG 182

Sprayshack i've heard do them too, might be worth a message. They do often come up in the parts for sale so just keep an eye out mate. The plan next is just to drive the car really! I need to solve the ABS issue and then get the belts done but for now other than general maintenance I'm going to...

    RB 182s

I think colours like RB, Inferno, Liquid Yellow, Alien Green etc are special just for the fact they're colours you dont often see on cars. I love BG, but I wouldn't say a black car is particularly special. It of course has gold speckle, but a normal person wouldn't necessarily look and see that.

    BG 182

I'm not sure where they're from to be honest. I do know that there's a company called carbon streamline or something that do carbon parts for clio so maybe worth checking there? And the latest one is 2012/13 which i hope to get but i'm in no rush. It's just a novelty! Makes sense mate cheers...

Clio mk1 worth anything to anyone?

Just spoken to him now and as it was towed to a garage, they're just scrapping it and writing off any debt owed for towing/looking at the car. Seems a shame but it is what it is I guess! He doesn't want any hassle with it. Was a 5dr too i've just confirmed so maybe worth slightly less anyway.

Cheers mate! They do tidy it up nicely and it's what the satnav models should have had from factory!

    Rojer's 182

Check your abs rings for any damage mate too!

    Rojer's 182

Totally missed this thread! Car looks nice and tidy mate, and a good plan to get the belts done. Stops you worrying everytime you go for a drive. Hopefully the brake light switch solves it, have you tried actually resetting it by pulling it all the way out and refitting? How much did ktec...

What trolley jack does everyone use?

Where's the most suitable jacking points then? Mine appear to have been bent in during it's past life, and even if I bent them back out I don't think i'd trust them! Seen people suggesting using the chassis boxed parts underneath but they don't look too strong! Where would axle stands be best...

Yeah, High octane is recommended, it's even on the flap!

278 error destructive misfire obd error

I'm not sure if there is a way to actually 'test it' so to speak, but i'm not the best person to be asking. If you swapped it out, and it still misfired then your problem isn't that. Do you know what sort of fuel has been in the car too? As supermarket fuel can lead to problems albeit probably...

What trolley jack does everyone use?

That's odd, almost like it was just not pressurising? I'll give it a shot as others have had good experiences with SGS, and if it's crap i'll return it.

278 error destructive misfire obd error

There's no hostility mate, it's just there was another thread a few weeks back with someone demanding help with capitals etc before introducing themselves in the first place. Replace the things you feel comfortable with first, then keep going. Injectors/coils etc aren't too challenging.

278 error destructive misfire obd error

It did come across that way a little mate! Everyones here to help on the forum, but there's only so much diagnostics you can do over the internet. I'd get the injector swapped over first and see if the problem follows, if not then look at changing the coil pack/leads. Fair enough you can send...

What trolley jack does everyone use?

What went wrong with it mate? Was it after many uses it broke? Not wanting to go against peoples experiences as that'd just be a pointless thread then! Rather know and maybe get something better (But not as huge as the costco one!).

What trolley jack does everyone use?

2 Year warranty? I'd be happy with that amount of time for £25. Can always then upgrade anyway.

What trolley jack does everyone use?

Is it heavier than this picture makes out? @Jeff simply :)

What trolley jack does everyone use?

Haha, okay cheers! Seems this doesn't really fit my bill (for now anyway). Think I might take a punt at the SGS one, and see how it holds up. Hoping to get a house with a garage when i finish uni and I can contemplate something more substantial then. Can't complain for £25 really.

What trolley jack does everyone use?

This is what puts me off for the time being. If I had by own garage it'd be great, but lugging it up and down a flight of stairs doesn't sound fun. Ahh that's good to hear! Did you pay more for the jack case and jacking pad or was it the same one i linked to?
  25. Louis

What trolley jack does everyone use?

Does look really robust! What sort of size is it? Only thinking as it'd be sat in my room with the rest of my tools until I move out of student letting.
  26. Louis

What trolley jack does everyone use?

I'd looked at those, but read the reviews and they weren't so promising. Obviously axle stands would be used too, but having a jack that slowly drops doesn't sound great. Have you noticed that before? Seen this and it looks half decent...

What trolley jack does everyone use?

I'm after a trolley jack and was wondering what everyone is using? Don't want to be spending hundreds, but after something that is fairly robust and won't collapse during use. Would a low profile one be the way to go? I dont have any plans on going super low with the 182 but if they're more handy?
  28. Louis

    Slight misfire, no eml...

The injector cleaning is worthwhile regardless, and dan would be able to tell during the pulsing of it whether it was actually dying or not. Either that or take it to a specialist and see what they have to say, but it will end up being £££ regardless.

    Jacking car on gravel

Yeah that'd do it! Or if you have 4 paving slabs. Working under the car wont be nice on gravel though so I'd try to avoid that

Nice bit of large flat wood, spreads the load out.
